I patiently wait for her answer as I still hold the remote of the TV in my hand. I don't know why, but I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes off of her. She looks so incredibly beautiful. I already thought she was beautiful when I saw her dressed up in that gorgeous burgundy dress of hers.. but now that she's dressed down, hair in a messy ponytail, no make-up, sweats and an oversized shirt.. she took my breath away when I opened my door only to find her there.
I was planning to go over to Jimin's room and order room service while watching a movie. But, spending the evening with Ava sounded a lot more interesting. Besides, she came to me while she was feeling down because of that boss of hers.. Kim Namjoon. I don't know what he did, but she needed a distraction and she came to me.
I don't know what it is about Namjoon, but I don't like him so far. He actually has quite a likable aura around him, but during this meeting.. the way he talked to Ava really didn't sit well with me. It made me mad to hear him talk to her like that. She's a person as well and on top of that she's one of his employees. You treat them with respect and they treat you with respect in return. You don't talk down to them like he did with her. I don't know what he said to make her mad enough to not even want to be in the next room, and I know I shouldn't let what happened with her and Namjoon influence my opinion about him.. but it's kind of hard to not let it get to me.
I don't exactly know what it is about Ava, but I feel a certain connection with her and I think we could be great friends or even something more. But I know that Namjoon treating her unfairly doesn't sit well with me and if it were to happen again, I will definitely say something about it. During the last meeting I stayed silent, but if it were to happen again while I'm with them... Namjoon better think twice about being rude to her.
"Okay.. let's make a deal. We'll watch the horror movie."
I'm pulled from my thoughts and turn to face Ava.
"But?" I smile, I can see the mischief in her eyes as she focuses on me. She has something in mind and it might not be beneficial to me.
"We will watch the horror movie, but you have to promise me you'll make me feel better afterwards." I simply chuckle and nod. "I promise."
The smile that grows on her lips makes me want to do just about everything for her. She shuffles closer to me on the couch and I wrap my arm around her shoulders, pulling her into my side. She softly giggles as she wraps an arm around my waist and places her head on my chest. I quickly press play on the on the remote and we both focus on the screen.
