I left my hotel room and told Jungkook I'd be right back. As I'm making my way down the hall and towards the lobby, I feel slightly nervous. I'm hoping to catch Jin as I really don't feel like talking to Namjoon right now. I'm gonna tell Jin that I'm resigning from my position in Kim's Call Center and that my decision is final. I don't even care if Namjoon can change his managing style, he's only showed me highly unprofessional behavior and I can't accept that.
Once I make it to the lobby, I find both Seokjin and Namjoon walking towards the main doors. That's when I remember Jimin wanted to have the meeting at a restaurant close by.
"Jin!" I quickly call out his name while I start to jog to catch up to him.
I should've put on different shoes.. but I was excited about this new road I'm taking and I didn't think about the fact that I quickly slipped on my slippers.
Jin turns around and smiles as he sees me running up to him. He turns to Namjoon and tells him something, he simply nods and walks through the main doors and out of the hotel.
"Ava, I'm happy to see you smiling. Today was a pretty hectic day, mentally that is." I nod and smile up at him. "Listen, first of all. I really want to thank you for sticking up for me when Namjoon was being such an ass towards me."
He chuckles and nods. "No problem, I've never seen him act like that and I am going to discuss it with our father. This is not acceptable behavior in any way, shape or form." I nod, I truly agree with what he's saying which also confirms my thoughts of Jin being a better choice for the position of CEO compared to Namjoon.
"Second, I'm sorry to say this.. but I've decided to quit. I realized that I don't want to work for Namjoon, especially if he's gonna act like he's been acting the last two days. My father wants me to become the CEO of his company and I decided that it's probably best if I actually try to get to know the people and the business instead of working for another company and losing that time."
"I understand and I admire you for following your heart. Normally you'd have to discuss your resignation with the CEO as I'm sure you know, but I understand why you're telling me instead of Namjoon. At this point I'm almost positive he'd throw a tantrum if you told him you're gonna quit." I can't help but laugh once he finishes his sentence. Jin quickly joins in and we both have to take a minute to catch our breath afterwards.
"Also, I'd really like to keep in contact with you Jin. Even though I didn't enjoy Namjoon's behavior and company these days, I really do like talking to you and spending time with you. Ever since the day you interviewed me for the job I feel like we clicked and I'd like to be friends, if that seems appropriate to you at least." I feel nervous and quickly look down at my feet. Jin has this authoritative aura around him but he's also like a sweet and gentle guy.
