Five Years Later
A lot has happened over the past couple of years.
Tomorrow would be exactly five years since Jungkook and Ava reunited.
Which also meant that tomorrow would be the day that Ava has been CEO of Hope Entertainment for five years! Of course, Jungkook had to prepare something for that special day.
He remembered when they first met, over seven years ago. He remembered their conversation back then; she told him that she didn't want to become the CEO of the family company. That she wanted to make a name for herself, that she didn't need her father and that she wanted to be independent. She complained how she didn't have a single artistic bone in her body and that that simple fact would be the reason why she would never be able to actually be the CEO of an entertainment company.
However, he also remembered how she had decided to work for her father barely two days after meeting him. That he had somehow encouraged her to be the strong woman she always has been and that she didn't need to work for an asshole like Kim Namjoon who only craved power and superiority rather than being a leader to his employees. His brother Seokjin was a man worth working for.. but Jin was the President of Kim's Call Center and didn't have as much of a say within the company as Namjoon did.
Over the past few years, a lot has changed. Even before Ava and Jungkook had been reunited, Seokjin had become the new CEO of Kim's Call Center. Like Jin had promised, he went straight to their father once they returned from Busan. Their father did not at all appreciate the way Namjoon had been leading the company and had already received more complaints about his second son even before Jin came and demanded a change in their roles within Kim's Call Center. So it was an obvious choice for Father Kim to appoint his eldest son to be the new CEO and Namjoon had to go through a full year of training to even be allowed to get the role of President.
Jungkook was happy Ava had left them. Happy that she showed Namjoon exactly what it meant to be a leader rather than a boss. Being the CEO of the biggest entertainment company in the country isn't exactly an easy task and yet Namjoon was trying to teach Ava how to be a leader. Granted, he didn't know she was the only daughter of the Jung Dae-Seong as she kept her true identity a secret, with good reason.
Both of them figured that Namjoon and Seokjin would find out she was Jung Ava, but it took them quite a while. Ava had informed Jin about the whole thing a couple of weeks after the official opening of JP and Namjoon had found out through the news when she became the CEO.
Jungkook could still picture the shock, confusion, and disappointment Jin wore on his face when Namjoon declared there was a 'no dating' rule within their company. Those were definitely the good old days.
