Chapter 30
"How was school, Wesley?" I asked, nervously while I fumble with my fork. We are at an Italian restaurant full of formal people and such. The food were served not so long ago with an added romantic background music played by the band.
"He's not causing trouble that's for sure." Winona snorted then raised her half-full glass at our line of sight. "As long as girls aren't involved that is." She added in a rather thick Irish accent.
Wesley only smiled at his sister's comment. He was remarkably dressed for the occasion. With his white shirt and faded gray blazer on top and also his usual caramel ruffled hair, you can say that I was pretty lucky to have this kind of sight to see.
"What do you mean by that, Winona?" Clyde asks, his hand playing with the table napkin. She shot him a look that says, I'll tell you later and smiled at me.
"Oh... don't spoil the fun, Winona." I nudged the person beside me and forced a sorry smile at Winona, who just answered me with a sigh. "What does your brother have to hide if it's only just us, friends?"
"No wait." I angrily cleared my throat to catch everyone's attention but unfortunately, they're all focused on the next speaker. "Let Wesley himself tell the story." Wesley shifted his body rather uncomfortably and smiled as he met my gaze.
If you're wondering why are we all here... Well.... a long story...

JAMIE:
"I'm bored." Megan muttered as she stare at the sandwich that was roughly devoured by some fat kid next to our table. I paid her no attention and just continued doodling all of our names at a piece of paper.
"Why don't we all hang out this weekend?" Winona suggested. "We could really use some girl time."
"I'd love to but.." She trails. "We're gonna visit our Grandparents. So it's a big no."
"Aww... That's too bad." Winona pouted and shifted her gaze to me. "It will be boring if it's just me and Jamie over here." I shot her a look that says, What's that suppose to mean? They both giggled in reply.
"Some friends you are." I muttered and went back to doodling. That's when I accidentally took a glance at Greyson, his hands wrapped around Candice's waist, as they all chatter at the popular's table. Kevin doesn't seem to hang around there anymore since he's eating lunch with the soccer players at the next table. He thinks that they're much cooler than them.
Then there's the usual public make-out session Candice pulls to Greyson as if she was making all the girls in the world jealous. It was like she's saying, Buzz off sistahs! This fish is mine! Go find yourself another one!
"So Greyson is really dating Candice, huh?" Megan said, as she tapped her chin. "I always thought that Patrice has a thing for him." I looked at her with sudden confusion. "You know? Sister code? Never to date someone who has dibs on someone first? "
"Right." I nodded then awkwardly continued to doodle. "I knew that."
"But aren't you his wife?" Winona butted in. "You should mark your teritory not give it away." I wince at the sudden thought of my dream.
"It's not my place to tell who he wanted to date." I said. "So I suggest you two to leave him alone. Besides, his business is just his. My business is just mine."
