A Prince's Knight

Chapter 4

Chanhee was sitting up on his bed with a cake and coffee on a tray that Changmin brought him, the knight in question sat beside the prince reading a book. The royal took a bite of the cake and his eyes light up "Hey Changmin try this cake, it's so good." He held out the cake and his fork to the male. 

Changmin looked up from the book and looked at the cake "It's fine I'll just get one from the kitchen when you're done." He was about to go back to his book until the prince held his face.

Chanhee held the knight's face with on had while the other had the fork "Nope you will try it now, why go though the hustle of going downstairs." He said putting the piece of cake in front of Changmin's mouth to eat.

The male sighed and took a bite "Mmm it is a pretty good cake. But next time just let me get my own from the kitchen." He went back to the book reading. 

"Fine, fine whatever you say, next time I won't share my cake." He rolled his eyes annoyed and took a sip from is coffee.

The knight got up and was about to leave until he turned around and looked at the prince "Tomorrow I won't be here, so be careful on your own. If you go anywhere please have the marquess or the earl with you. Have a good day prince Chanhee."

"Wait a minute." The noble got up from his bed and went towards him and gave him a hug "Thank you, hope you have a good day off." He stood by the door and smiled. 

Changmin smiled back softly and left the room. The royal closed the door and walked back to his bed, he was grateful that when he fell off the horse Changmin was there to help since his leg had been hurting for a while. He laid down on his bed and looked at his ceiling, he thought of the events of the day and just remembered how Changmin just ran out of the guard tower to help him, how odd it felt to be so cared of, he always had the love of his parents and support from his friends but to have someone he met 6 years ago and barely started talking to he felt himself being more happy now. He shook it off and turned his pillow over and decided to sleep it off.

The next day he woke up and got ready for the day, he then went down to Jacob's room and knocked on the door "Jacob open the door, it's Chanhee!" He knocked once more until the door opened "Ah so you are alive." 

Jacob smiled "Yup alive and breathing, by the way what happened to your knight?" the noble moved out of the way for Chanhee to walk in.

Chanhee walked in ad sat down at a table that held a chessboard. He then looked up at the other royal who was now sitting in the chair in front of him. He looked around the room and noticed Jacob still had some bags too unpack "He Cobie who dropped off your luggage? I remember the first day you came you said someone else would drop it off." He said moving one of the pieces on the chessboard.

The other royal thought of his next move "Well I had friend of mine decided to visit the castle and volunteered to bring my luggage after visiting my father." He moved his piece and waited for the noble's next move "Enough about me though, where did the knight go today?"

Chanhee sighed and looked at knight pieces of the chessboard "Changmin went out today since it's his off, I wonder what he is doing." He moved his next piece and looked up at Jacob "By the way what happened to you and Kevin yesterday, you both disappeared when that viscount came over."

The royal had the same expression as Changmin had when he heard that Hyunjun was a viscount "I thought he was just an escort??" He moved his next piece and thought to himself about the events of yesterday.

The day before when Jacob and Kevin left Chanhee and Changmin back at the court yard and had taken a horse from the stables and went to the forest on a small stroll. Kevin had the reins while the royal held onto the jester. The noble couldn't help but smile, it felt like forever since he visited Chanhee's kingdom and hanged out with the Jester. Jacob rested his head on he male's back and sighed. Kevin who was focused on the trail felt the older boy's head on his back and smiled he thought it was just the boy being tired and decided to slow the horse down a little.
