A Prince's Knight

Chapter 14

Changmin woke up early that day, he ran down the halls of the castle getting things he needed, soon he walked to the library, a place the queen always comes during her free time. He walked inside and saw who he wanted before bowing "My queen thank you for letting me take you son out, I'll protect him with my life."

The queen placed down the books she was holding onto a nearby table and smiled softly "No I should thank you, I noticed how stress he's been after the first two. I'm glad you asked if you and Chanhee can go on a small trip." She held the boy's hands and spoke softly "Changmin dear you should enjoy the trip as well, although you are his knight you deserve a little break." She hugs the boy before whispering "Maybe you can go on a date with him."

The male's face went red he covered his face with his hand and looked at her back "Date, your highness I can't go on a d-date with him.." He awkwardly smiled before rubbing the nape of his neck.

Chanhee's mother laughed and she sat down on a nearby chair "Well I can't say for his father as he's out on business but if you do like my son, you have my support." She giggled as she looked at the boy's embarrassed face.

"Thank you.. Uh I should really go wake up Chan and help him pack up." He bowed before speed walking out of the library "His mom supports me.. Well I better make this trip count." He ran down the hall and stopped in front of Chanhee's room. He cleared his throat and knocked on the door "Chan are you up and decent?"

The royal was in his room looking out his window, it was early in the morning and he had dressed in simple clothing for the day. He wondered how the knight was doing today and what he'll do. He laid down back on his bed and sighed.

His thoughts were then broken with a sudden knock on the door "Chan are you up and decent?" Said by a very familiar voice.

He got up from his bed and swiftly walked to the door, he fixed himself quickly before opening the door "Hey Chang, what brings you here on this fine morning?" The royal mentally panicked thinking the knight was out on a trip.

The knight laughed awkwardly rubbing his arm "Well I'm going on a trip and wanted to see if you'd join me.." He smiled softly at the prince admiring the boy's looks "Of course you don't have to co-"

"I'll come but I was just wondering, where are we going? Just so I know what to pack." He was looking around his room figuring out what he might need to bring, although he looked anxious he was excited to go on a trip with the knight, maybe he could finally confess his feelings.

Changmin's smile became brighter "Well bring something for summer and winter, just in case you know." Before the royal could ask more questions the knight ran out the hall and went straight to his room. 

"I- Alright then, now the question is what should I wear?" He turned to look at his room and sighed, he hasn't really left the castle so what should he do? The royal tries to think of a solution before feeling a tap on his shoulder. 

A giggle came from the person before they smiled at Chanhee "Hey Chanhee, did you miss me?" He opened his arms for a hug and gave the prince a soft comforting face "It's been a while." 

Chanhee turned and covered his face, soon hugging him "Hoon you finally came to visit me. I haven't seen you in years." He let go of the somewhat older male and hit his chest "You could have came sooner you jerk!"

Younghoon laughed as he softly grabbed the male's hands "I'm so sorry Chanie, but here I am now. Shall we go inside and hangout?"

The royal smiled at his old friend before he remembered his trip "Hoon I'd love to to hangout but I have a trip with someone." He opened the door and pushed the male inside.

A good two minutes passed and Chanhee was done packing after Younghoon did most of the work, the male was siting on the floor laughing at what his friend told him "Chanie you fell in love with your knight after all the forced dates!? Oh my that is funny, and your telling me Kevin finally asked Jacob out. Wow I did miss out." 

Chanhee nodded "By the way, how did you remember the layout of my closet, it's been years and last time I checked you never visited me." He joked while placing the bags by the door "Anyways it was helpful, I wouldn't have packed this quickly if it weren't for you." 

Younghoon nodded before getting up "It's nothing but where is Sunwoo, you haven't mentioned him yet." He grabbed the last bag he packed and placed it with the others before looking at Chanhee with a curious look.

"Oh him, well he's been busy with the who love thing to, pretty sure he's asking out Haknyeon, you know that one earl who you thought was cute back when we were kids." He laughed.

The male cringed and shivered jokingly "Yea not my best moment, but I did realize something. I'm not into the whole love, relationship, and marriage thing while I was gone." He smiled before looking at the clock "Shouldn't your knight and shining armor be here by now?"

speaking of the knight Changmin appeared and smiled seeing the prince "Chan are you ready to- Oh hello there uh.."

"Marquess Kim Younghoon, but please call me Younghoon. I just came to visit Chanhee but he informed me about the trip. I hope you both enjoy yourselves." He bowed and left the room but mouthed a 'See you later, and tell me what happens when you come back.' to the royal before disappearing. 

The prince rolled his eyes and smiled brightly at the knight "Sorry about him, but I'm all ready to go on that trip." He said excitedly before grabbing the bags. 

Changmin nodded and smiled at the male's actions, he thought it was cute how happy Chanhee was for just going on a trip. He helped pick up a few bags before walking out the room "Please follow me."

Chanhee nodded and the notion before following behind, he was in his own little world as he thought of one thing "I'll follow you even without you asking. But I worry if I do tell you my feelings."
