A Prince's Knight

Chapter 13

Chanhee was laying on a blanket as they looked up to the sky laughing, he then turned to the knight beside him with a smile "Chang your telling me that Juyeon left you in a barn, and you got out but ended up stuck on the roof?!" He rolled on the ground continuing to giggle.

Changmin's face turned red as he looked away "You always have that smile on your face, laughing happily. I can only wish to be the cause of it everyday." He shook his head and rolled his eyes playfully "Listen it's his fault for not letting me out. Plus wasn't I the one who got hit because of your book tower?" he raised an eyebrow and smirked before laughing out loud.

The memory of the two in the library stacking books before they came crashing down hitting the knight's back as he helped the royal stay safe, Chanhee felt his face heat up thinking about one of the many acts Changmin did to protect and help him. He then sat up and looked at the ground his smile became soft but he stoped laughing, his emotions still positive "Well I'm thankful you saved, helped, and protected me, I'm thankful for meeting you."

The knight's face softened and repeated the last part before placing his head on the male's lap not looking at his face "I'm Thankful for meeting you." He could feel butterflies in his stomach and his hear beating slowly increasing "I'm Thankful for meeting you too, Choi Chanhee." His face still soft he thought more to himself "I'm Thankful for you, but will my feelings reach you?"

Chanhee paced back and forth in the room he visited and kept staring intently at the floor, while two very confused males were sat on the bed. The jester Kevin, and royal Jacob sat worried and confused at their friends actions.

Jacob took Kevin's hand and smiled kindly to their friend "Chanhee you've been pacing for a while now. Why don't you sit down for now and tell us what's up?" He softly rubs the jester's hand with his thumb before signaling for the royal to sit in front of them.

Chanhee sighed and sat down on the couch closest to them "Well it's Changmin, I just don't know right now.." He then laidback and ruffled his hair messing it "I could ask my mom but I already talked to her about the dates."

"Did you actually pick someone?!?!" The couple looked at each other dumbfounded "Did he really pick someone?" was on their minds but looked back at the prince.

The Male looked at the two confused "Of course not, why would I pick anyone? Anyways this is about Changmin, I actually don't know if I like him or not and I mean if I'm interested in a relationship with him."

Kevin laughed "Okay then what do think about Changmin, be honest though." He knew Changmin's feelings for the royal but never Chanhee's although he was curious about it.

The prince looked up at the ceiling and smiled at their past memories with the knight "Well I find him very interesting, like his smile and his laugh, the stories he tells are always interesting, always knows how to make me happy-" A pillow hit Chanhee's face and he looks at the couple who are holding pillows exactly like the one that the royal had been thrown.

"Okay I don't need to hear the rest of that rant to give you an answer." Jacob sighed as he put the pillows he was holding behind him then snuggled up to his boyfriend.

Kevin giggled and pats the royal's back as he smiled softly and nodded his head "Chanhee me and Jacob are thinking the same thing, you are interested in Changmin. You should give it a chance though, he might like you back." He smiles before leaving a kiss on his lover's forehead.

The royal looked at the couple and stood up "T-thanks guys, I'll go ahead and let you two be for now. So see you guys tomorrow, and thanks again." He leaves before walking to his own room "Ji Changmin after 6 years, I never knew the impact you would have on my life after making you my knight." He bumped into someone as he was in thought and noticed who the person was "Im so sorry Mr. uh, sorry I never actually learned your name..."

The male laughed dusting himself off "It's fine prince Choi, My name is Sangyeon, Lee Sangyeon. You put me in charge of your personal knight when you both were younger if I'm correct." He smiled softly at the prince "Ah how are you feeling, I know it happened long ago but you fell off you horse and Changmin had to help." 

The prince blushed thinking back to being on the males back and the events that happened But pushed it back for the moment and nodded "Changmin banned me from ridding lessons for a while but I'm fine now, thank you for your concerns Mr. Lee but if it's okay with you may I ask why you are up? It's pretty late now." He looked out the window and saw the knight sky, star scattered as they shine with the moonlight. 

He laughed and rubbed the nape of his neck "I had a visit from Changmin as he needed a break for two days, being his mentor I needed to write it down for you. I also walked him back to his room." He then decided to point down the hall he came from and whisper "In all honesty I would like to thank you, he finally seems happier being a knight thanks to you."

The royal giggled, although he was sad the knight wouldn't be at the castle for two days "I'm glad he's happy, but you should get some rest Mr. Lee. I'll make sure to leave you a gift at your office, good night sir." He bows before continuing to his own room.

Sangyeon laughed but nodded "Good night prince Choi." he shook his head and walked down the hall back to his room, thinking of what a familiar boy told him earlier.

"Hey Sangyeon, can I ask you a favor?" the knight was fiddling with his thumbs nervously waiting for a response from his mentor.

He nodded before leaving the room of his apprentice "Yea what is it Changmin, is something wrong?" He closed the door and looked at him in confusion. 

"May I have two days off, I'm taking the prince out for those two days but I don't want to be his knight for those two days.." He smiled shyly his eyes were fixed on the ground knowing he might have a chance with the prince starting tomorrow "I wanted to take him out on a date."

Sangyeon felt happy for Changmin, knowing he always wanted to know the royal. Now his apprentice is moving on his own planning a date for the prince "Of course, I'll write it up and give you an early pay. I hope you have fun on your dates~" He then opened the door and went to leave. 

While leaving Changmin stood and cupped his hands together in front of his face to echo his message "Thank you Sangyeon!"
