Changmin was drinking a glass of water while he heard his friend talk about why he came to visit and while Changmin was happy to see them, the reason of their visit disappointed him "So you didn't come to visit me after all huh, well I'm not offend just hurt." The male took another sip from his glass.
The Duke laughed awkwardly "Sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but I did really come visit you. Just wished it was for a different reason." He sighed at the male and just continued to eat his food.
The knight waved his hands in defense "I'm not really mad, trust me I understand." He knew in the end he meant well, in all honesty he knew that the duke was trying to find a partner for some time now. Juyeon was a good guy, plus maybe Chanhee would like him.
Juyeon placed his utensils down and looked at his friend "I'm actually pretty nervous since I haven't been on a date for 2 years now.." He rubbed the back of his neck.
"I bet the prince would love you! Just go with the flow Juyeon, I believe in you." He the male put a fist up in support.
The two continued to eat until full, then then hanged out until late.
Chanhee was talking in his study with prince Hyunjae, the other noble wanted to thank the prince for helping him, and he got the chance when they bumped into each other in the halls. In the end Hyunjae learned his feelings for the viscount and will be going back to their kingdom that evening. They originally were to leave in the morning but instead the two had a cute coffee date in town. Hyunjae laughed "I can't thank you enough, you really helped me understand how much I really cared for Hyunjun." He said drink a cup of tea.
The royal nodded and placed his tea cup down on a coaster "No need to thank me, my knight actually had a concern for your boyfriends's feelings, thinking he broke your relationship. I'll make sure to inform him once you plan your future."
The noble placed his cup down "I'm just thankful to know the truth, but we are taking things slow for now Chanhee." The royal looked at the time and sat up "It's getting time I should leave, if you have any news for us don't hesitate to visit or send a letter." Hyunjae bowed and left the room.
Chanhee looked at the contents of his cup and smiled, he was glad the two were doing well and planed to take things to themselves, on the other hand his guilt from seeing the knight's sad expression lingers in his mind.
A knock was heard on the door and Changmin popped his head in "Am I intruding anything your highness?"
The royal cleared his throat and shook his head after grabbing a book and putting on his glasses "No you aren't, please come in Changmin." He turned his chair so the back of the chair was only in the knight's view.
Changmin thought it was cute how the prince tried to look productive when he wasn't, the knight sat down in the empty chair "I came to inform you the next suitor will be here tomorrow afternoon he is duke Lee."
Chanhee nodded while looking at his book and turned a page or two over "Hmm, alright I'll wake up early tomorrow and get ready." he nodded again after turning back around and placing the book down, he wasn't even reading it was just him using it as an excuse to not look at his face. As he still felt a small guilt from yesterday for some reason.
The knight had been watching the princes movements and found it suspicious, it was weird to say but after his 6 years of observing from the guard's tower it was odd seeing him like this. He then got up and bowed "Have a good night prince Chanhee I'll see you in the morning."
"Make sure you tell me about your day tomorrow, I-I've been curious on what you were doing.." The prince Sid looking at the book's cover to avoid eye contact.
