Chapter 21

Yuri's POV

No matter how much I struggled, the ropes were very tight. Jiwon was standing in front of me, probably thinking of a plan for how to hurt the others. 

Suddenly, he burst out of the room, and then I heard some screams outside, and then Jisoo's voice:

"Haruto, stop! It's us!"

I understood that Jiwon was controlling Haruto, and I tried with all might to free myself, but in vain.

Then I heard something scratching against the walls, and then something burning.

A minute later, the whole wall beside me had become red, and the with a sudden crack, it broke down.

I turned my head to see what had happened when I heard a voice I thought I would never hear again. It was Jihoon!

"Guys! Help me with this! Come on, Junkyu!"

I instantly started shouting, "Hey, I'm in here!"

I saw Jihoon, Junkyu, Yoshi, and then the others came in, and freed me. I was so happy to see them again, that tears rushed into my eyes, but I tried to ignore them.

"They are all in that big room over there, and Jiwon is manipulating Haruto! We need to be careful!" I said with a shaking voice.

"What are we waiting for, then?" 

"Yeah, let's go!"

We ran into the big room, and found it exactly as I had expected it. Only chaos.

As they had broken the walls from outside, sunlight was coming again, which of course, gave me a little strength, and I was able to use my powers a little.

I tried to stop Haruto from hurting the Jisoo and Doyoung, while the others tried to trap Jiwon, while avoiding eye contact with him.

When, after getting kicked and punched a LOT, the vines were able to hold Haruto, Jeongwoo went inside Haruto's mind to persuade him that he was being controlled.

"Dude, snap out of it!"

When Haruto was back again, we caught hold of Ms. Lee, and Hyunsuk trapped her in an invisible field he had created with his powers.

Now, we only had to take care of Jiwon, and we knew just how to do that. We had talked about it that morning.

*Flashback*

When Asahi had put the spell on Jeongwoo for increasing his powers temporarily, he went to Jisoo to talk about what they could do to stop Jiwon once and for all. Me and the others were also quite interested, so we joined the two.

"I could banish him somewhere, so he could never come back!" suggested Asahi.

"Where?"

"I know a place where all the demons are banished from their own worlds..."

*End of flashback*

No one's POV

They all made a circle around Jiwon, to stop him from escaping, and Asahi opened the portal to the place he was talking about.

When he was ready, he signaled the others to bring Jiwon. The latter was trying hard to escape but, he didn't really have a chance against 13 people!

They pushed him through the portal, but during the process, he held on to Jisoo, trying to stay outside. But the others pulled her back and Asahi closed the portal.

Only while closing the portal did Asahi realize that Jiwon got hold of Jisoo again, but the latter screamed:

"Asahi, close the portal! We have to stop him!"

"But you-"

"Don't mind me! Just close it!"

BOOM!

A big explosion caused everyone to scatter like pebbles on a road. The portal was gone, and so was Jiwon in it. The plan had worked. But for a terrible price.

Yedam remembered what he had seen the other day, when he was going to visit Yuri after Junkyu had attacked her: The blurry vision of a dead woman lying on the ground...

That woman was Jisoo...

Yedam had known this all along, so he blamed himself for not being able to stop it... 

"Yah! Yedam! Why you crying?" came Mashiho's voice from behind.

Yedam pointed to Jisoo. No one had spotted her before that. They all rushed to her, except Yedam.

"Guys...don't bother..."

They realized what he was talking about.

"She sacrificed herself, for our sake."
