As soon as she entered the room, the others almost pounced on her.
"How are you feeling, Yuri?"
"You okay, noona?"
"We were really worried!"
Yuri let out a surprised smile, and Jihoon spoke up.
"Hey, don't attack her like that guys!"
Junkyu came forward, and looked at Yuri.
"I'm really sorry, Yuri-ah! I didn't mean to hit you..."
"Oh, it's ok. Yedam explained to me on the way. But do you guys have any idea who it could be?"
They all sat down. Junghwan was looking guilty, and Jeongwoo read his mind, and sent him a message.
It's alright, Junghwan. We aren't sure yet. Let's not make Yuri noona worry about it right now...
Hyunsuk said, "Not yet. We are still figuring it out."
Yoshi looked at the clock.
"Gosh, it's half past eight! Where the hell are Jiwon hyung and Ms. Lee?"
"Probably on their way back," answered Mashiho. "I think we should stop worrying so much, and have dinner."
"I don't really feel like eating," said Doyoung, getting up.
"Where are you going?" Haruto looked up.
"My room..."
Doyoung walked out the room, leaving the others feeling extremely down. The liveliest person in the group seemed depressed. There was nothing on earth that could cheer them up now.
Yuri turned to Asahi, then asked him, "Hey, do you really have no idea who it could be?"
Asahi hesitated, then pulled out the spell book to look in it.
After a while, he seemed to find what he was looking for.
"Remember when I told you that you're capable of defeating the darkest creature on Earth? Well, maybe that creature might be here."
"You're saying that creature got into Junkyu's head to kill Yuri?" cried Yoshi, widening his eyes.
"No, not to kill her. It would need her alive."
"WHAT?!" exclaimed Yedam.
"Look, I'll read it aloud for you:
"Any magical being, in desire of the strongest kind of dark magic, shall need to extract and consume the soul of another magical being, considering the latter is born the night of a red moon, and is a rare kind."
Asahi continued, "You can't extract the soul from a dead person, see?"
"Oh my god..." Yuri gasped. Asahi shook his head.
"But wait, there's something else:
"To be able to harness the power to extract the soul, the magical being has to sacrifice the thing it loves most at sunset. Only an hour after that shall the extraction take place."
"Wow! The person must be very determined to get all that power!" said Junghwan.
"Yeah, some of us aren't in love with donuts, you know!" teased Jihoon, making Junghwan blush.
"Guys, stop fooling around and listen!" said Hyunsuk, looking severe.
"So, if we are right and the person is trying to hurt Yuri, and take her soul, the person must be really determined like Junghwan said," concluded Mashiho.
"But how do we know I'm not gonna become all out-of-control-trying-to-kill-Yuri again?" Junkyu mumbled.
"We don't," Jaehyuk said, patting his friend's back. "But don't worry hyung, I'm sure you won't let that happen again. We're gonna help."
Just then, Yuri felt somebody tugging at her sleeve. She was so shocked at first that she almost gasped loudly. But then she realized that they had been forgetting a thing for a long time now. She stood up and cleared her throat.
"Um, guys... d-don't forget about... uh... Jisoo unnie..."
The others stood up almost at once, and started looking around. Jisoo appeared just beside Yuri, making the boys flinch and take a step backwards.
Jisoo's mouth immediately broke into a warm smile and she said:
"Don't be afraid of me! What could I possibly do to you all? You're like my little brothers! Think about it, have you ever seen me do the horrible things that Jiwon told you I did?"
They considered it, then Haruto spoke up.
"If you didn't do anything, why did you act like you died and never came back? Why didn't you try to explain yourself back then?"
"To protect you guys."
The boys exchanged puzzled glances, then Jisoo continued.
"I'll explain everything later, but you guys have got to help Yuri for the time being."
"Well, for starters, I can put a protective shield around the Academy," said Asahi.
"Okay, great idea."
Yuri looked at everybody, busy discussing, and felt like she needed some place to breath, so she walked out of the room. She went upstairs, to go to her room, when she saw Doyoung's room's door half-open.
She thought, "Well, he dealt with a lot of things today, I might as well wish him a good night."
She went over to the door, and pushed it open. She called out to him, but there was no answer. She thought he was probably sleeping, and looked inside.
He wasn't there.
