Chapter 13

"Wh-who's that?" stammered Jisoo, turning her head towards Yuri.

The latter quickly bent down and put her hand on Jisoo's shoulder.

"It's me, Yuri. Are you okay? How did you get here?"

"W-water..."

"Oh, of course!" Yuri untied her hands and put her arm around Jisoo's shoulder to pick her up.

"You think you could walk back upstairs with me?"

Jisoo nodded her head slightly. Her eyes were half closed, and her tear-strained cheeks had fingermarks on them. Apparently, someone had slapped her.

Yuri lifted her up, and the two walked slowly up the steps, Yuri making sure Jisoo didn't trip and fall.

She asked Jisoo to sit down and wait while she brought her something to eat and drink. Jisoo smiled weakly.

"Thank you..."

After Jisoo had finished eating the bowl of noodles that Yuri had brought her, she said:

"Yuri, you have to stay away from Jiwon. That guy is a madman!"

"Why, what happened?"

"He did this. He had already tried to kill me before, but he didn't succeed."

"Is it true that you drank the Elixir?"

"Of course not! Look, I still have my powers. It's not possible for me to have my powers if I don't drink the Elixir every day. And Jiwon's assistant, Lee Chaerin, put alarms in the cave, so if anyone comes in, the alarms sense that person, and she and Jiwon would immediately know somebody is trying to drink the Elixir. So, after they thought they killed me, if I had tried to go in and drink it, they would have known." 

"Oh my god," Yuri gasped. "But how will I tell the others?"

"Don't say everything at once. Explain the things one by one," suggested Jisoo.

"What are you gonna do now?"

"Go back into hiding I guess," said Jisoo, sighing sadly.

"Of course not! Are you crazy?!" yelled Yuri.

Jisoo widened her eyes. Yuri reassured her:

"I meant... You could stay with me, until I get them to believe me."

Jisoo smiled and patted the younger girl's head.

"Are you sure you wanna go through all that trouble?"

"Don't worry, I'll be fine."

The two of them tiptoed back to Yuri's room, looking behind them every 10 seconds to make sure nobody saw them.

Yedam's POV

I looked at my digital alarm clock, it's red light beeping. It was midnight. 

I still couldn't sleep so I just kept tossing and turning around in my bed. I heard some noise nearby, then a door opening. I assumed that somebody was getting up for drinking water or something.

I sat up. I thought that maybe reading a book could help, cuz I was getting really bored. I got up and went to the shelves, searching for a book, when suddenly, I felt a horrible headache hitting me. I almost fell down, but I grabbed the side of the shelves to maintain my balance.

I closed my eyes, and that's when I realized that I was no longer in my room. I was in the forest, with the others around me, and I saw Yuri lying on the ground, her arm somehow blue. There was also Junkyu hyung, he was crying.

In a fraction of a second, I was back in my room, my headache gone.

It was a vision.

No one's POV

When they reached Yuri's room, Jisoo and Yuri hurried inside.

Jisoo insisted on sleeping on the floor, on some blankets, but Yuri couldn't let her do that with all those bruises on her body, so she did it instead, asking Jisoo to sleep on her bed.

"Thank you, Yuri. Good night," whispered Jisoo.

Yuri would have answered if she wasn't asleep already, because of her exciting night.

Jisoo heard her light breathing and smiled.

"Such a sweet girl!" she said to herself.

The next morning, Junghwan was speeding through the corridors, knocking on everyone's door to wake them up.

Everyone was up, except for Yuri, because she went to sleep late.

"HEY YURI! WAKE UP! IT'S TEN ALREADY!" Hyunsuk yelled.

"Huh?!" Yuri was still half-asleep.

"Okay, I'm coming, then!" threatened Hyunsuk.

"WHAT?! WAIT, I'M COMING!"

Yuri was panicking as she thought Hyunsuk would really come in, then find out about Jisoo. But he was only joking.

Yuri got up and saw that her bed was already made. She saw Jisoo standing beside it. She winked to Yuri, then disappeared.

Yuri sighed. She run her hand through her hair, making sure she wasn't looking like a chicken, then walked towards the door to open it.

"What the hell were you doing?" Hyunsuk chuckled, looking at her red eyes.

"Sleeping? What kind of question is that?"

Yuri was a little mad at him for waking her up but she couldn't really blame him for what happened last night, so she let it go (frozen again hehe).

They were heading towards the dining room for breakfast, when suddenly Doyoung's EXTREMELY LOUD voice echoed through the whole building.

"HEY GUYS! HURRY UP AND COME HERE!"

They all quickly ran towards the source of the yell (which was quite difficult to find out by the way): the basement.

"Jisoo noona is missing."
