No one's POV

The next morning Yuri woke up, feeling better than the day before. She went down for breakfast, only to find out that she slept way more than the others. She assumed that they were already "in class". She headed for one of the corridors through which she and Yedam walked before. She remembered seeing the words "Head's Office" marked on a door. She started to search for the door.

After 15 minutes of snooping around the corridors, she came across the room she was looking for. She knocked three times and waited. She then heard a clear, serious voice say:

"Come in."

She opened the door and stepped in. The head's office was a big, neat room with palely painted walls, a very clean and proper desk, and various other boring furniture Yuri didn't care about. She saw Kim Jiwon sipping his tea, sitting on a chair behind his desk.

"I didn't get the chance to welcome you properly yesterday. I'm very happy you chose to come here, Yuri-ssi. I actually thought you would be very hard to convince."

"I didn't say I was going to stay here. Just for a month."

"What makes you think this place is so horrible?"

"I didn't say it was horrible, it's just that my parents didn't want me to come here saying it wasn't safe. It was their last wish." Yuri said this with determined eyes.

"Your parents knew you had these powers, so it's not logical for them to say things like that. In fact, Treasure Island is the safest place for people like you."

"I only wanted to be normal."

"Well, too bad, you aren't." Jiwon was starting to get annoyed by her stubbornness. He continued, "Now go to class. I guess you'll find out by yourself why I told you that you would like it here."

Yuri looked at him with immense hatred, not showing it though. She turned around and marched out the office, wondering where her class would be. She was looking at different rooms, when she accidentally bumped into Jihoon, who was running, and fell.

"Oops! Sorry! Are you ok?!" Jihoon appeared worried and helped her up.

"I'm completely fine." She smiled, assuring him. "Say, could you tell me where my class is?"

"Yeah, sure." He pointed to the staircase at the end of the corridor. "It's the door on your right, on the 2nd floor. You'll find the others outside."

"Huh?"

"Yeah, some were punished!" He laughed, making Yuri wonder why everyone was so good-looking here.

"Oh. Thanks a lot."

"No problem." He turned around and entered Jiwon's office.

Yuri went up the stairs only to find Jaehyuk, Doyoung, and Jeongwoo standing against the wall beside a classroom.

"Oh, noona, you're here!" Jeongwoo exclaimed. "You don't mind me calling you 'noona' right?"

"Oh, not at all! But what did you guys do to get a punishment like this?"

"Nothing," said Doyoung. "We are completely innocent! When you show perfectly good reasons for an argument, don't you win it?"

Completely innocent, huh? thought Yuri. Do you normally look guilty then?

"You don't believe us?" asked Jeongwoo, instantly reading her thoughts.

"Oh, get out of my head, will you?" said Yuri, and walked into the class.

She saw a middle-aged woman standing in front, pointing to some equations on the board. The woman noticed Yuri and called her:

"Oh, Kang Yuri! A pleasure to meet you! I assume you know everybody here?"

Yuri answered, "Yes, miss."

"Call me Ms. Lee. I'll be your teacher for most of the subjects except 'learning how to control your powers'. For now, go sit beside Asahi, in the back." She pointed to the chair beside Asahi, who immediately removed his bag from it.

After Yuri sat down, Ms. Lee explained to her that she had quite a lot to catch up, and that the others would help her with it. She also explained to her that the Academy was a little different than other schools or colleges.

They had all the subjects like literature, science, math, history, geography, and music, but they also had a subject which focused on controlling their magic powers. In this way, they could live in the real world with other humans, their powers unnoticed.

Little by little, she understood the purpose of this Academy, but there was still one thing she didn't understand.

"Why are there only 13 of us? Aren't there any other human with powers like ours?"

Ms. Lee gave her a vague look and ignored the question. Instead, some of the boys stared at her weirdly. She didn't understand what was going on. Why were they looking at her like that?
