The room was not so big, but it was bigger than my room in the house in Seoul. It had lime and white walls, flower printed curtains covering two big glass windows, a bed with a really pretty blanket, a wooden wardrobe, and some bookshelves.

To be honest, I really liked the room, but I still wasn't sure about staying here. Not like Seoul was a better idea. There, I was just a weird and clumsy girl who no one felt inclined to talk to. I sat down on the bed, and my mind flowed back to the time when I promised my parents that I would never do this.

"Be careful, Yuri-ah, the world is not so friendly and accepting that you think." Mom said. I laughed and asked, "What the hell are you talking about, Mom? My friends are awesome, and the teachers too. I love this place, the school, the neighborhood, everything is perfect. What could possibly go wrong?" Mom widened her eyes, "My little girl, just promise me you'll never leave Seoul, okay?"

Dad joined the conversation, "Mom is right. Don't ever listen to strangers, okay? Don't show your powers to anyone. And most importantly, never go to the Treasure Island. I am saying this now because we both know that Mom and I can't always be with you, okay? So, promise me you'll listen." "Dad, keep your eyes on the road–"

My head hurt and I was unable to move. "Dad? Dad! Answer me! DAD! MOM! Open your eyes, for god's sake! Mom..." The last thing I heard before passing out again were... sirens.

It was really unfair. Everything went wrong after they...

"Noona, you okay?" I sniffed and turned around. Jeongwoo was standing at the door, looking really worried. I rubbed my eyes and replied, "Yeah, yeah, don't you worry." I failed to hide my quaky voice. Jeongwoo came near me and sat down on the bed. He patted my back. "I know it's not my place to say this, but if it helps, I know how you feel. I also lost my parents." I looked at him, wishing like crazy, if only I had a little brother like him, he's so precious.

"What time is it, Jeongwoo-yah?" He looked at his watch, and said, "9 pm. It's almost time for dinner. That's what I wanted to remind you. Follow me, noona, I'll show you the living room, which is just beside the dining room. The others are all there."

"Ok, let's go." I followed him, again through many corridors, and at last we reached the living room. It was quite big, considering 12 guys stayed here. It felt like I had finally reached Satan's palace. It was the most chaotic thing I'd ever seen. And also the most cheerful. Junkyu, Junghwan and Hyunsuk were playing video games, Asahi and Jaehyuk were playing chess (mostly Jaehyuk complaining how good Asahi is), Jihoon, Yoshi, and Haruto were playing Just Dance, and Mashiho, Yedam, and Doyoung were singing karaoke (really loudly).

I went in, and Jeongwoo suggested a truth or dare game, with Jihoon, Yoshi, and Haruto, so that they stop dancing, because their dance moves were hurting his eyes. I agreed, but unfortunately, dinner was ready. The others rushed to table, I went there, rather shyly, following Jeongwoo and Yedam, as they were the only guys with whom I was "close".

I ate my dinner quietly, observing the others who chatting merrily, and sometimes receiving warm smiles from Yedam, who tried to include me into the conversation, but just made it more awkward!

After dinner, I quietly slipped back to my room. I was getting ready for bed when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it, and there he was, that cute guy who kept fluttering my heart every time his lips curved into a smile.

"How was your first day here? Not too awkward?" asked Junkyu.

"Just the right amount." I said, trying to hide my smile.

"Sorry, if we were intimidating before. We were just so excited to meet someone new. We've never had transfers here."

"Oh, it's ok."

"Well, I'll leave you to take rest. Good night."

"You too!"

He turned around to go, but then stopped. "Don't worry about not fitting in. We all thought that once. It changes."

This last sentence wiped the smile off my face. They all thought what once? What changes?
