"Well look at what we have here" a voice sounded from behind them and Rey could feel her anger spike. "Jayden, you know what the Master wants. Kill him."

"I told you not to call me that witch!" Rey hissed. She didn't take her eyes off Ben as she spoke. He may have been convinced that he knew her but she was still certain she had never met him. She would not risk him getting the upper hand.

Morganna peered over Rey's shoulder, her green eyes gleaming wickedly. Rey watched the man beneath her scowl. His eyes darkened to something closer to onyx than the nearly golden brown they had been only seconds before.

"Ah the young Ben Solo. Finally right where you belong, and at the hands of someone you love. This is so much better than killing you myself." Morganna smirked above Rey and she felt the man beneath her tense further with anger.

"What did you say?" Rey growled at Morganna. She turned to face Morganna, her hand around her saber loosened slightly and she contemplated driving the blade through the witches abdomen. Even if her master would surely kill her for such a disobedience, it was almost worth it.

Morganna smirked at Rey. "Oh that's right, you don't know, do you? This traitorous scumbag was once a powerful Force user. Not that he ever compared to myself, or even Mathis for that matter. However in a attempt to win you over he murdered our previous master for you. He destroyed one of the most powerful military forces in existence and for what? A ridiculous notion of love? Now, here he is begging you to remember him. As if that would happen. I am much too good at what I do."

Rey glared at Morganna. She didn't know what the witch had done but whatever it was had clearly made her forget the man beneath her.

"Meaning?" Rey growled.

"She wiped your memory." Ben hissed.

Rey felt her mind begin to race. She looked down to the man beneath her. Perhaps he was telling the truth. She knew that Morganna and the one she called master had done something to her. She had awoken on a desolate planet they kept as their base with nothing. No memory of her past and certainly not of the two who held her captive. Mathis had told her that her own father had left her with him in the hopes that Mathis would train her. She believed him but not without the strange nagging the back of her mind telling her this was a lie. Would her father truly have left his child with someone so dark and twisted? It was just a feeling. Sometimes she had flashes of memories, but they were never concrete. There was never anything she could grasp at to find out who she truly was.

"Morganna, you may believe that she is completely under your control, but I would not underestimate the power that runs through her veins. Whether she believes me or not you won't last long once she breaks free." Ben spoke slowly. Rey could feel his absolution. Whether he lived or died it didn't matter; she knew if she did not stop him he would kill Morganna. His eyes found their way back to her before they softened once again. "I know you remember me, I know it's hidden away and if this is where we end and I die then so be it. But do not let her control you. You're a fighter Rey. You belong to no one but yourself."

"Enough of this. Kill him, Jayden, we have things to do."  Morganna stepped back and Rey turned to face Ben. His eyes were locked on hers.

I know you, Rey. I can help you. His voice echoed in her mind and she stared back. She wanted to let him in. She wanted to know her past. But she knew her master, even Morganna herself would never let her leave them.

She could feel the sincerity in this man's thoughts. He was not trying to hurt her. He truly believed that she was this Rey person. His mind pushed against hers and she felt her resolve to keep him out sway.

"Ah it's horribly sweet, isn't it?" Morganna spoke again. "He would have you back with him, but you and I both know that will never happen. You will never be free of me, you will never be free of Mathis."

There was an ear shattering boom followed by complete silence. Rey felt herself pulled back violently, her saber knocked from her hand as she was slammed violently into the wall behind her. She felt her head crack against the wall as she fell to the floor. Vision white and ears ringing, she could feel the slick of blood as it began to spread from where her head had connected with the wall.

"Rey!!" the man's voice called to her and she tried to see through blurred vision what was happening.

She could just barely make out the outline of someone standing over her. She felt a wave of nausea wash over her as the figure knelt down in front of her. It was the horns that gave him away.

Mathis
