No Matter What- Rey

Finn hadn't stopped holding her hand while they talked. They didn't have time for everything but she told them about Ben and how he had saved her life. She watched as both Poe and Finn's faces went from smiling enthusiastically at her return to possibly questioning her sanity.

"So you mean to tell, me that the most evil, viscous, insane man in the galaxy is your boyfriend?" Finn stared at her waiting for a response. She wanted to be convincing in telling him that he was wrong, but he had a point. As Kylo Ren, Ben had been on a path of death and destruction; it was no surprise that Finn was skeptical of him.

"Finn he's not evil, not anymore. He's changed. After he killed Snoke..."

"Wait, wait, wait, I thought you killed Snoke?" Poe asked and she glanced at him and smiled.

"No, Ben did. He did it to save me. He's saved my life twice now." She smiled and Poe raised an eyebrow. "Look I'll tell you both the whole story but first we need to destroy this weapon. This is a Starkiller all over again." Rey pulled her hand from Finns grip and looked between the two. "Who else is here? The Resistance? Chewie?" Neither of them answered she looked back and forth between the pair. There was no answer. Finn cleared his throat, his forehead creasing as he shook his head.

"Finn? What is it?"

"It's just us and...General Leia." Finn answered, his eyes seemed to almost water and Rey felt her heart race.

"Mathis sent her a message, he said he would kill her son if she didn't surrender. There was a picture of a stormtrooper with a pistol at his head."

"Kriff." Rey swore out loud. "Mathis is a liar. That picture wasn't real! Ben is alive, he's coming here to help."

"Kylo Ren is coming here? Great just what we need." Poe leaned over and picked up the sack at his feet. "Rey, he might have saved you but he's done some terrible things, I for one won't forgive him for hunting us across the galaxy."

Poe was right. She couldn't deny that as Kylo Ren he had done some terrible things. It didn't matter to them that she loved him. Ben and Kylo were one in the same in their eyes and it would take time for the resistance and the universe to forgive him, if they ever did.

"I understand that Poe. I don't expect you to trust him. But trust me, he isn't dangerous. Mathis is the bigger threat. We have to destroy him before he enslaves the galaxy, because that is exactly what he is going to do. He's worse than the First Oder. He's pure evil. "

"Well, let's go. Leia is already down there and we can't waste anymore time. Rey I'm glad your back, but I stand with Poe. I don't trust Kylo either." Finn didn't smile and Rey nodded her head. She hoped one day her friends would see the man she saw.

Poe took the lead. They moved through the trees and brush quickly staying as low as possible.

"The general told me that there used to be a bunch of tiny bear people here, but I am guessing that is another thing that the First Order wiped out." Finn whispered to Rey as they moved through the forest.

"The First order is nothing compared to Crimson Dawn. Mathis is a powerful force user, and his apprentice Morganna, she's as evil and twisted as they come."

"Wait." Finn turned to face Rey. They had stopped to hide behind a fallen tree as Poe scouted ahead. "Morganna as in the Black Witch? She was like Snokes right hand Knight after Kylo. She's absolutely terrible, a monster. Kriff, if she's here we're gonna have some fun, either that or we're all going to die."

"Nah Morganna is about as useful as a jacket on a wookie. So, what are we waiting for?" A voice sounded behind them and Rey turned quickly at the sound of a familiar voice.
