-----------------------------------------------The blonde sighed, sitting down next to his long-time friend Dave. The two of them used to be rivals back in high school much like their fathers were and still are, yet they're friendly rivals unlike their other friend's dad and their parents. "What do you think we're doing today?" the blonde asked Dave who shrugged in response. Great, thought the green eyed Senior, just great.
"Should be something interesting," replied Dave after a few short seconds of silence. The blonde hummed in agreement, smiling as their friend who was also a Senior sat down with them; Daryll Noveschosch. The brunette was a well-loved boy in their year because of his kind demeanour that he'd kept all throughout high school. "Hey, Daryll."
"Hey, Dave, Clay," Daryll greeted, leaning back in his chair slightly as their other friend, a brunette called Wilbur, joined them whilst they waited for their teacher to start the class. "Hi, Wil."
"Hey, Daryll!" Wilbur greeted enthusiastically, grinning at the trio. "I heard from some others that had Mr Minecraft last week that we're doing an assignment with younger years."
"Do we get to choose?" asked Clay, glancing to where their teacher – Mr Minecraft – was waiting for the class to quiet down.
"Dunno," replied Wil, "I just hope we don't get stuck with that Tommy kid. He's annoying."
Dave hummed before adding, "I agree with you, Wil, but he's still our little brother," to which Wilbur groaned in reply whilst the others chuckled. Soon enough the group dispersed as the teacher's voice called for silence. Everyone took their seats, glancing towards the front of the classroom where the blonde was waiting patiently for his class' attention.
"Good morning, class," he greeted, clapping his hands together. "I don't have a lesson to teach you, per se, but I do have an assignment for you guys to do. If you've heard about this from the other classes, then you'd be right in thinking you will be teamed with younger students. However, I will be picking the groups so that it's fair." Everyone seemed excited about it, though poor Wil was dreading the news of having to be teamed with his little brother. He was so annoying!
"Alright, and the final group is Dave Blade-Minecraft, Wilbur Soot-Minecraft, Tommy Innit-Minecraft, Daryll Noveschosch, Mark Boo-Taken, and Clay Boo-Taken. For now, have a free period." With that, their teacher took a seat at his desk and just kept an eye on the feral fucks that were his students.
"Why do we have to be with Tommy?" Wilbur whined, slumping in his chair. "Don't we deal with him enough at home?"
"Oh, quite your whining, will you? You're not five-years-old, Wil." Dave scolded, chuckling as the boy in question poked his tongue out at him.
"I'm actually excited for this," Daryll mentioned from where he sat on Clay's desk, the green-eyed boy agreeing with him. "I haven't met Tommy or Mark yet. It'll be interesting to meet them, don't you think?"
"Well, Mark's actually my little brother. He's super sweet and hangs out with that Tubbo kid a lot. They seem quite close from what he's told me," Clay murmured, turning his attention towards the fighting twins. Daryll hummed before doing the same, though whilst Clay watched in amusement he was trying to stop the two fighting.

That weekend, the assigned group met up on the edge of town, closest to the 'Boo-Taken' house, to decide where to go. Though, Mark, Clay and Daryll were caught by surprise when they saw Mr Minecraft joining the trio they were waiting for. "I didn't want to say it in class," he started once he was in range of the lads hearing, "But I'll be joining you boys in the assignment. Knowing Tommy and Wilbur, it's gonna be utter chaos. And since we're not on school grounds, just call me Philza or Phil."
"Right," Clay agreed, arm wrapped around Mark's shoulders before looking towards Dave. "Where do we go from here, dude?"
Dave thought for a moment before answering. "Isn't there that abandoned building in the next town over?" he asked, looking back at Clay.
"Wait, you mean the town that was abandoned 70 odd years ago?" Tommy asked, starting to look excited. Dave replied with a simple 'mhm' which caused the lad to jump for joy. "Can we investigate that place? Please!"
Philza chuckled at his youngest son's antics. "I don't see why not," he replied, allowing him to lead the way. After an hour and a half of walking, the group finally made it to the outskirts of the abandoned town Dave was on about. "Alright. Where is this abandoned building, Techno?" Phil asked, using Dave's nickname.
"It's on the west side of the town, near the centre," he replied, leading the way. Mark grimaced slightly as they continued walking. The atmosphere here felt heavy, as if something disastrous had happened in the past.
"Why was this place abandoned, exactly?" Mark asked, sticking close to his brother's side now that they were in unknown territory.
"I don't know. All I know is that it was left abandoned some 70 odd years ago," Dave replied as they passed a burial sight. "Is it just me," Dave stopped walking, looking into the rows of headstones. "Or did those flowers just move?" That caused all of them to stop moving and look to where the brunette was looking.
"I think it was just you, mate," Wil assured, encouraging them to walk again by taking the lead.

Soon enough, they arrived at the abandoned building Techno was going on about. The building was quite old, though seemed very sturdy. Though the windows were slightly scratched and smashed, and the name of the building was extremely faded, it still seemed like a decent building.
"We won't be trespassing, will we, Phil?" Daryll asked as they entered the building, getting hit with the smell of old, damp and something they couldn't quite put their finger on. Burnt food? Burning? No one knew.
"We won't," Phil replied as they ventured further in. As they walked down the hallways of the building, they noticed slightly yellowing paper on the walls with faded pictures drawn by children of these big friendly looking creations.
"This was a hotspot for kids, then," Tommy commented as he and Mark looked at the pictures. Clay hummed in agreement, looking above him in curiosity. "Why are you looking up, Dream?" Now it was Tommy's turn to reveal a nickname – Clay's.
"I dunno," replied Dream, "I just thought I saw something up there. Like a loose wire or something." He shrugged, turning to look at the two youngest of the group. "Must be seeing things. Let's keep moving, thou." Everyone agreed, and soon they were on the move once more.
Venturing through the twisting hallways, the group eventually found a room big enough to house them all for the weekend. "Hey, look!" Mark exclaimed, pointing to the far back of the room where a stage was located. "Doesn't that look like one of the creations in the pictures in the hallway we saw?"
"It does," Phil agreed, looking at the thing on the stage. It was rusted like anything, but still stood proudly holding a red guitar in it's hands. "I wonder if it plays still."
"Probably not," Clay spoke as he helped Daryll sort out the sleeping bags. "This place was abandoned for 70 odd years, no electricity for those years. They're probably dead." If only he knew, if only he knew.
After investigating the room they were in, the group sat and talked before a few began to doze off with the first being Philza, surprisingly. Then Tommy and Mark followed, along with Daryll and Wilbur, leaving Dave and Clay wide awake. Well, Clay wide awake, Dave half-asleep. "You know you can go to bed," Clay mentioned as the clocks inched closer to midnight. "I'll be fine on my own." Dave sighed before agreeing, falling asleep soon after laying down properly.
Though Clay was convinced nothing here would hurt him, he was still weary. I mean, they're in an abandoned building for crying out loud. Of course he's gonna feel uneasy. It was one of the reasons he was still awake, that and the feeling of something – or someone – watching him. Giving his shaking hands a slight shake, he whispered to himself, "Calm down, Clay. You're fine, they're fine. We're all fine... I think."
Ding
It was midnight, and unbeknownst to the oblivious group, the fun was just about to begin.
