"You went through all of that, and still haven't lost hope of finding love?"

"Yeah" I sighed as I laid down on the couch in my sweatpants, Scabbers moved fast to sit on my chest "You know what's funny? I got Scabbers for Jimin.. I never got the chance to give him to him. And I'm honestly happy about that. He's my precious baby, and the only good thing to come out of that relationship"

"I'm sorry Jungkook"

"It's not your fault" I shook my head "but this is exactly what I mean when I tell you that I understand"

"I know" he frowned as he lifted my legs and sat down, putting my legs across his lap "you didn't deserve any of that"

"Neither did you" I shrugged as I gave Scabbers more lovins

"I'm starting to believe that" he mumbled as he picked at a thread on my pants "would you like me to break contract with him?"

"What?" My eyes widened "why would you do that?"

"To make you more comfortable" he shrugged "I don't want to keep putting you in a position that makes you uncomfortable"

"I'm okay honestly. And I don't want to make any issues for you with your company. If you need him, I'm okay with that"

"Are you sure?"

"Of course I'm sure. I appreciate you offering though" I smiled softly, we let a silence linger over us as I laid there and he played with the string on my pants, Scabbers fell asleep and I don't think either one of us wanted to move from the comfort of each other just yet.

Taehyung sat there with Jungkook, thinking things over. Jimin had been a great business asset to him, and all the times they'd met before he could never imagine Jimin being a bad person. But he must be. To do something like that to such a kind soul as Jungkook means Jimin is just plain evil. There's no other way to describe it. Jungkook might not want him to break the contract with Jimin, but how could Taehyung carry on after knowing what he does now?

No. That isn't fair.

He knows he should separate his feelings from business, but he can't. Not in a situation like this.

He pulled out his phone and sent a text to Kathy

Taehyung: hope all is well, I need a favor though
Kathy: you mean besides running your company for you? Sure 🙄
Taehyung: have I told you just how amazing you are? And beautiful? And that I love you?
Kathy: not enough. But whatever, what's going on?
Taehyung: I need you to draw up the papers to cancel our contract with Park Jimin
Kathy: why? We've done business with him for years now, we need him. That's stupid Tae
Taehyung: he hurt Kookie, like bad Kathy.. I can't in good conscience continue working with him
Kathy: say no more. I'm on it. We'll protect our boy
Taehyung: thank you ❤

Now he needed to do something else.

Something different.

"Jungkook?"

"Hmm?"

"Are you hungry?"

"Starving, why what's up?"

"I want to take you out"

"Okay, let me get dressed" he nodded

"No. Like this, in our sweatpants and t-shirts, fuck getting fancy. Just me and you, let's go. I know the perfect spot"

"You sure? What if someone takes pictures or something?"

"I don't have to wear a suit to go eat my with my boyfriend" he chuckled "let's just go"

Jungkook's eyes held so much adoration that for a second Taehyung couldn't breathe. His heart raced as he waited for Jungkook to speak

"Perfect"

"Can I have a hint?" I asked as he drove quietly

"Nope. You'll just have to trust me"

"Fine" I pouted, he pulled over on the side of the road in front of a Korean barbecue spot and took his seatbelt off, I went to take mine off and he stopped me

"Nope. This isn't it. Wait here" he got out of the car and I watched him run into the place, I chuckled to myself while I waited for him to come out, he walked out with three heavy bags on each arm and stuck them in the back seat

"Did you buy the entire menu?" I laughed making him laugh as he started driving again "just about"

We continued driving until we arrived at the Han River "we're here!" He announced happily making me laugh

"Isn't this a bit cliché?"

"So? I think we deserve a cliché dinner, don't you?"

"Sure" I smiled as we got out of the car, I grabbed the bags while he grabbed a blanket out of the trunk, we managed to find the perfect spot by the water where we laid the blanket and set up all of our food.

I pulled out my phone and selected a random jazz playlist from my Spotify and he smiled as he began eating, my chest felt warm watching him eat with a wide smile on his face and his head lightly bouncing along to the music. He was eating, but even then he couldn't stop his hands and fingers from moving along to the beat. I couldn't focus on my food, I could only focus on him.

He looked relaxed, happy, and tranquil. I wondered if he could always be this way. If this is how he was always supposed to be before his life took drastic turns. I wondered if he would ever get to a point where he would be able to stay like this, with me.

Even if it isn't me.

If just at some point, this beautiful, amazing man, will realize his worth, and find someone to share it with. I hope that maybe, it could be me. But I won't press my luck. We've already established that I, am not a lucky man. But he deserves happiness.

"Are you not hungry?"

"Ah, sorry. I was distracted" I chuckled as I picked up my chopsticks and began eating

"It's beautiful out here, and with the sun going down we can already see the stars" he smiled as he looked up at the sky

"Yeah.." I smiled "it is really beautiful" I turned my head away from him and pretended to look up at the sky while my heart raced in my chest.

"Dance with me?" He asked hardly above a whisper, I swallowed the food in my mouth and nodded excitedly making him laugh as his face turned pink, he grabbed my phone and turned up the volume on Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Can't take that away from me. He stood up and pulled me up by my hands before dramatically dancing with me, one hand around my waist and the other holding my hand high while my other hand rested behind his shoulder. We laughed and swayed to the music letting ourselves feel free for probably the first time in our lives. His smile while we danced and he sang the words to me, was the best thing I could ever remember.

The way your smile just beams

The way you sing off key

The way you haunt my dreams

No no they can't take that away from me

We may never never meet again

On the bumpy road to love

Still I'll always, always keep the memory of

The way you hold your knife

The way we danced till three

The way you've changed my life

No no they can't take that away from me
