Chapter 40

This is the last chapter of Impervious Treasure and the postlude will be posted after this. I hope you find bliss and comfort in this story. I just want to address something: we shouldn't judge someone on how they love a person. The definition of love in this world is subjective but I am not saying that minors should engage into intimate relationships, please resist the temptation. Also, Raquel Azcona's rude behavior towards Clair Emrie in ch 34 was not a professional approach. When you're confronting someone, please do it in a private place. Plus, I want to emphasize that there's a rule or law that individuals who are only 16 or 17 have to secure a consent form before marrying, as per the Family Court Judge of the New Zealand Government requests. Ramsis was already 19 (almost turning 20) when they got married. The marriage is voidable (if both parties decided to void it) since it is illegal to get married when drunk, but again, this is fictional (the wedding ceremony was not really for them).  I want to thank all of you for supporting me. To those people who are continuously voting, commenting, and recommending my stories, thank you so much! Please don't get tired of me and don't hesitate to correct my errors :> You may visit this page for the story guide: https://holyhoely.carrd.co/  Maraming salamat sa inyo! See you in the next story or maybe in the new series!

I fixed my coat. The dog is in critical condition.

The owner of the dog was already crying when I stepped inside the clinic. I can only communicate with the universal language.

"He's still sleeping when I left," I replied.

I disinfected my whole body for our both safety. Nagpalit ako ng scrub suit. I tied my hair in a high bun, siniguro kong walang tikwas na buhok ang makakatakas sa pagtali ko ng buhok. I went out of my office wearing a mask.

In this kind of critical time, my mind is getting so distracted.

The dog is supported by a ventilator machine. I fixed the brightness of the surgical lighting and checked my interns and nurses with me. They gave me a simple nod indicating that they're ready for the surgery proper.

I also checked the IV pump. I only relaxed when I sensed that the surgery was a success.

"Cautery," I said. I'll use it to close the wound made by the scalpel's blade.

It took us fours to finish this. I let out a long exhale.

It was tiring indeed... but nothing equates the fulfillment that I am feeling.

I helped the nurses incharge in sterilizing the tools we used.

"You also did well earlier," I smiled.

Pabiro niya akong hinampas. "Wala na nga halos kaming ginawa, Doc. You were very precise with your moves during the procedure.
