The morning came faster than I was anticipating. As my orders from last night were now invalid, I found Wendy standing beside my bed and looking at me as if patiently awaiting for me to wake up. I blinked a few times, trying to adjust to the brightness in the room before giving a questioning look to Wendy.

Her neutral face brightened considerably as she saw me sitting up. She beamed at me before bowing quickly.

"Good morning, Young miss!" She exclaimed cheerfully and I just awkwardly nodded. Too much brightness for me. But not wanting to break her enthusiasm, I decided to keep my mouth shut. My eyes still wandered around the room once in a while. It's still hard to believe that I was back here.

"Good morning, Wendy. Is there something you want to tell me?" I asked politely, indicating why she was standing in front of my bed. She hesitantly nodded but didn't say anything after that. I didn't say anything and waited for her to speak.

"Doctor Laura visited while you were still asleep to check your vitals again." She said and I hummed but didn't say anything. I know there is more to it.

"She said that going out in the garden and breathing in the fresh air will make Miss heal faster." She said hurriedly, a habit of hers when she is unsure about something. And although I wanted to do nothing more than just sleep for some days, I needed to get moving before my past catches up to me.

"Sure, if that's what she said" I nodded with a nonchalant look before telling her to wait for me in the garden while I change into something else.

I nearly slapped my old self when I saw the closet.

What were you trying to do? Become Barbie?!

My closet was full of pink dresses and tops. All types of pinks. Magenta, baby pink, soft pink, raspberry pink, coral pink, hot pink, and some others that I don't know the name of.

I need some new dresses that are not pink.

After choosing to wear a simple violet dress, that I found at the very end of my closet, with a pair of white sneakers, I walked down the stairs. Many maids stopped before me and bowed while I just nodded stiffly. Just as I was about to turn the corner, someone called me from behind.

"Good morning, young miss." Mr. Oliver said softly but I heard him and turned around. I too bowed a little in return but didn't say anything. The last conversation we had was something I wasn't proud of. I lost my temper and would've lashed out at him even though it wasn't his fault. I was just being a salty bitch.

As if he could sense what I was thinking, he bowed again and looked directly into my eyes.

"I am sorry if I crossed my boundaries last night, young miss. I wouldn't have asked that question if I knew you'd get that upset." His eyes were filled with sincerity and left no place for me to question his motives. But why would he even care that he had offended me? As much as I remember, in my past life, he avoided me as much as he could. He never showed his face in front of me except when he was passing me some message from my father or when I had asked for his presence. Then why?

My eyes turned slits for a moment before I quickly regained my composure. I looked at him with a calculated smile before I shook my head.

"It's no problem, Mr. Oliver. I was just a bit over-sensitive at the moment. Please excuse my behavior for that time." I said before both of us turned silent. No one of us spoke for a moment and I internally clicked my tongue.

"If there is nothing else, then I'll take my leave." I was about to leave again before I remembered something. I turned around and was about to call Mr. Oliver but saw that he was still standing there and looking at me. Weird.
