From what Haneun said, the girl immediately assumed that her family wasn't doing well. It must be very bad if she doesn't even have money for lunch! Her heartfelt heavy. Some years ago, her father was also facing some problems with his job, hence even she faced a very similar situation as haneun.

However, what she didn't know was haneun has simply forgotten to bring her money this time.

Seeing that haneun was still silent the girl started feeling a bit nervous again. She has been studying in this school for a long time but no one wanted to be friends with her, since her father was a mere employee in a good company.

After some years, even the attitude of the class stopped hurting her. She stopped wanting to be friends with pretentious fools. However, today when she saw haneun, she had an urge to want to talk with her.

"My name is Choi Chaeyoung. But you can just call me chae if you want." Choi Chaeyoung said, trying to break the silence.

"No thanks. I'm not hungry." Haneun said curtly. Choi Chaeyoung immediately felt displeased. She really wanted to get closer with her.

When she saw the way haneun handled the situation with Han Hye-Ri, Choi Chaeyoung started admiring haneun a lot. But who would've thought that the girl she just started to admire would reject her so coldly?

Choi Chaeyoung was a bit introverted. After being denied once she couldn't build up the courage to ask again. She behaved like a girlfriend whose boyfriend just rejected to give her something she wanted.

She turned back and sat in her place with her head laying low and shoulders slumped forward. Her cheeks were a bit puffed up as a pout formed on her lips. Haneun saw all this from her side vision and couldn't help but feel unhappy. Why wasn't the girl going?

She has clearly rejected the girl's request. Then why was she so adamant about having lunch with her?

She coldly turned towards Choi Chaeyoung and looked directly at her.

"Why aren't you going for your lunch?" Haneun pressed. Choi Chaeyoung quickly looked up with a bright smile towards haneun but immediately regretted it.

Haneun's stare was so cold that Choi Chaeyoung felt as if she was looking at her soul. Her smile flattered when it came face to face with haneun's cold stare.

Choi Chaeyoung shuttered, "I- I really want to be friends with you. In the morning I saw how you dealt with Han Hye-Ri and I--" "thought that having me by your side would stop the bullies." Haneun stated after interrupting Choi Chaeyoung, who looked at the floor, obviously guilty for her thoughts. Words got stuck in Choi Chaeyoung's throat after being exposed.

Hanuen's expression didn't change even after knowing that she has guessed right but her eyes darkened just a little.

"You think I'll help you?" Hanuen asked calmly but anyone could notice the mock in her voice. She chuckled coldly. "I'll help you for the first and the last time right now by giving you this advice. Stay as far as you can from me if you want a peaceful life." Haneun gave her one last look before turning back towards her copy and completely ignoring the girl beside her.

Haneun was so lost in her work that she didn't even realize that Choi Chaeyoung has already left with a dejected look. But would she have given a damn if she noticed? No.

Just like that the lunch break soon ended and the afternoon classes began. The classroom slowly filled with students after the bell rang and Teacher Kim entered the class and started teaching.
