Leaving hoseok alone in the room to let him rest, both Olivia and Haneun left the room silently. None of them spoke a word to each other and walked in complete silence. Olivia led the way while haneun followed her at a slow pace.
The sprain in her leg wasn't bad enough so she decided it would be okay if she got it treated after Olivia shows her what she wanted to. Just after a few minutes, they entered a room that looked very similar to the one in which hoseok was resting.
The only difference was that in place of beds, the room was full of chemicals and equipment that made it look like a science lab. The strong smell of chemicals hit Haneun's nostrils as soon as the door opened.
However, Olivia and Haneun showed no reaction. It wasn't the first time haneun has entered this room and Olivia practically spends her whole day in this room.
After Olivia decided to join hands with haneun and work with her, Haneun made sure to provide her with the best facilities. In her previous life, she never knew that Olivia had an interest in chemicals. It was surprising to see Olivia busying herself with test tubes and chemicals rather than guns and knives like she did once in the beginning.
Olivia handed a pair of gloves to haneun and wore one herself. She opened a drawer and pulled out a black folder, handing it to Haneun, who eyed it for a few seconds before opening it.
She studied the content written inside as her small frown became more prominent with each passing second. She clicked her tongue in irritation as she snapped the file close.
"How long will it take you to give me the complete tests?" Haneun questioned while handing the file back to Olivia, who took it with a tight-lipped smile.
"Maximum one week," Olivia replied after thinking for a while. Her smile was one of embarrassment. It would've normally taken her two days to complete the tests, however, this drug was very different from everything she had ever dealt with.
"Done. Until then, this matter should stay between us. If everything in this report turns out to be true, then I guess Old Madam Lee will have a bigger problem to deal with." Haneun turned her heels around to walk away, only to be stopped by Olivia.
"Wha- Wait! What about Hoseok? Can he know?" Olivia asked with a light shutter. Haneun turned back with her hands folded in front of her chest and her eyebrows raised with amusement. Olivia appeared flustered for a second before she wore her calm facade.
"I meant, It won't be easy to shake that stubborn creature off. I'm sure the first thing he'll ask when he wakes up is 'Did anyone die?' and the second will be 'What were we injected with?'" Olivia said with an eye roll with seemed forced for some reason.
Although Haneun had her suspicion, she decided that it was not her place to meddle in their matter. With a soft sigh, she shook her head.
"Not even Hoseok. I don't want to take the risk."
"You don't trust him?" Olivia asked with a hint of disbelief in her voice.
"It's not about trust, Olivia. He is more loyal to Old Madam Lee than he is towards me or even you. The people who work for the Lee's are more loyal towards their jobs than they are to their life." She sighed. "We are helping them for a very limited time before we part our ways. Whatever you tell them, make sure you do that while keeping this in your mind."
Olivia nodded in understanding. Her jaws clenched as she turned away from Haneun, busying herself with doing something.
Haneun stood there for a few moments, trying to gauge her reaction. She didn't know if her words sounded rude, but she needed to remind Olivia who she is working for. No matter how many missions they do together, in the end, they are on different sides of a coin.
