Struggle is Real

Yes, it's Monday. Back to school again.

After I ate my breakfast, I told them that I'll go now. It's Monday and we must be wearing our uniform until tomorrow.

Before leaving our house, Mom, Tita Alexa and Dad reminded me to take my medicines after our lunch break or recess time. They are always telling me that because most of the time, I forget about it.

As I've expected, all students here in Hadeleines Academy are wearing their blue uniforms. The blouse on top is a mixed color of white and blue while the plaid skirt on the bottom is in full blue. Well, I really love our uniform since my favorite color is any different shades of blue.

Three of my friends aren't able to wait for me here because they have a scheduled meeting for today. That's just usual so yeah, I didn't bother them. Actually, their club meeting has its schedule. Adrien belongs in the Sports Club and their meetings are held every Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Ayesha is in Math and English Club and their meetings are every Monday and Wednesday only while Aela is in Music and Arts Club and their meetings are scheduled every Monday, Thursday and Saturday too.

I'm  not fond of joining those clubs but I have many positions that are assigned to me. I am the Class President, Tle Assistant of Sir Alger, Ecosavers President and I am also the (SSG) Supreme Student Government's President. They voted for e due to the fact that I was able to manage, handle and take care of the other members and even my schoolmates here and they trusts me and believed that I deserve to be where I am right now. To tell you the truth, it's really exhausting, tiring and I sometimes feel pressured by others. But in the end, I will never regret being in this positions because it taught me how to be stronger and to stand firm.

Just like other students and people, I've also experienced bullying, threats, discrimination and judgements. That didn't bring me down instead, it helped me fight for my own rights and to help lift up discriminated people at the same time.

Our class adviser, Mrs. Deborah Lacsam teaches us our new lesson in English today. We are studying about the different literary works such as essays, poems, novels, short stories and narratives too.

“Class dismissed. So, I hope you were able to learn and understand our new lesson for today. Thank you for your cooperation, class,” she widely smiled unto us.

“Thanks for teaching us, Ma'am Deborah,” Lorie said.

“By the way, I just want all of you to know that  Shiela has an existing heart problem right now. I hope you'll take good care of her. Don't be too naughty to your class president. Don't stress her, class,” I smiled.

“Yes, Ma'am. We will do all that we can!” they answered in chorus.

“Wow! That's so good, class. Please take care of her,” she said then looked to where I am. “Take care of yourself, Shiela. We don't want you to be in harm,” I just nodded to her.

“Yes, Ma'am. I'll take care and I won't let that happen. Don't worry,” she smiled before she left our room.

My friends fetch me and Claire on our classroom. We all went together to the cafeteria. I started to eat more and more nutritious foods when i knew about my condition. I bought a vegetable salad, steamed broccoli and also a hot milk. Tita Alexa and Mom weren't able to pack lunch for me because they have to hurry to their work places but that's not a big deal for me, actually.
