Accepting The Truth

“Ela, you have an amnesia right now and maybe that is also the reason why you don't remember anything about your closest best friend, Brittany. You were both together when the accident happened.”

“Tell us more of it, Adrien.”

“How did the accident happened, Rien? What's the whole truth behind it?”

“Are you sure you're ready for this, Ela? I'm just thinking about your condition right now.”

“Of course. I'm so sure, Rien,” he sighed heavily.

“Sigh! Okay, fine. You are only 13 years old when it happened. You were so depressed and devastated that time because your Mom told you that your Dad is already dead and you just can't accept it, Ela. You've always wanted to be with your Dad since we were little. Things went by so fast and it has been so hard that you can't handle it anymore. So, you decided to go away, to leave your house and to be away from things. You didn't know what you were doing that time and you didn't thought of any other choices instead of leaving. While you were leaving, you bumped into Brittany. She doesn't want you to go away by yourself and she was really worried to you. You didn't let her be a hindrance to your plan and she doesn't have a choice but to go with you anywhere you'll be. She just stayed by your side and kept you safe. And then, the accident happened. The car that you were driving went out of control and before you know it, you were both in danger. The car bumped into a big tree and it caused the both of you to be hurt. Both of your heads hit the front of the car. You are still lucky because we've seen your car there while we are heading to your house. We immediately called for the ambulance and we hurriedly got you both inside it. We were so worried about you. That's when the Doctor told us that you have an amnesia and you won't be able to remember the last person that you're with, Ela,” all of us are just listening carefully to what he is telling us. Even Heidi doesn't even know what happened to me after the accident. Now, my questions has been answered.

“So, this is the reason why you guys left Brittany all alone? Because you don't want Shishi to be in pain again, right?” They all nodded to her.

“Yes, Heidi. You're right. I'm so sorry for not telling you about this, Heidi and especially you, Ela.”

“It's fine with me, Adrien. How about you, Shishi?”

“Ahm, yeah, of course. It's okay with me, Rien. I know you guys are just worried about what will happen to me if I'll found out everything in the earliest time possible.”

“Are you sure, Ela? Aren't you mad at me? Or to your family?” I immediately shooked my head.

“Of course not, Rien. I'm not mad at all. I totally understand that you did it for my own good,” he smiled at me.

“Aww, thank you so much, Ela. I thought you'll be mad at me.”

“No, I will never be, Rien. Oh, I only have one more question. Mind if you'll answer it?”

“Sure, Ela. What is it?”

“Is the Brittany that you are telling me is the same person that I am helping right now? The girl whose name is Brittany too, remember? Are they the same? Because I felt like we knew each other for a very long time now. Everytime I see her, I always wanted to talk to her and to be with her.”

“I still don't know about that matter, Ela. But, if you really want to know if they are the same person, you can ask her. Maybe you'll be able to find the answers to your questions. That's just my suggestion, okay? It's still up to you,” I just nodded to him.
