Chapter 26

She Is Sensitive

New day, new beginning and new blessings again. I am so glad that Heidi and I are both in good terms now. I knew she has been waiting for that perfect time just to apologize to me. I'm glad, I really am.

There is this one thing that's still unresolved right now. It's about the three of us, Aela, Claire and I. I still can't figure things out but I do hope everything will be alright in no time. When that time comes, I will be able to introduce Heidi to them and let her join on our squad. Right now, I just need to settle down things first. I can do this.

I went back to my senses when Mom suddenly asked me.

“Everything's alright, Shie?” I nodded to her.

“Oh, yes Mom.”

“Are you sure? Don't lie to me. I know you too well, Shie,” I chuckled to her. Yes, of course.

“I know that, Mom. Everything's fine now. You don't need to worry,” she nodded.

“Anyway, it's Sunday today. Aren't you going to the church now, Shie?”

“Yes, Mom. I know. I'm just waiting for my friends because they told me that they LL just go here,” she nodded to me. She really like my friends, actually.

“Oh, okay. What about your Dad, Shie? Is he alright?” Aww, she misses him. It's obvious.

“Yes, Mom. He's totally fine. By the way, he will drive us on our way to the church. And, I think we will be home late too.”

“Why?”

“Dad asked us if he can bring us to the park and go shopping to the mall too. It's his treat, anyway. He said that he wants to bond with us and to get to know us better, you know.”

“Alright, Shie. I won't prohibit you to spend more time with your Dad. It's been a long time since he wasn't able to be with you. I respect the both of you.”

“Thanks, Mom. I promise I'll be good,” she smirked at me. Uh-huh? What's with that look?

“Hey! I'm not kidding, Mom. I'm serious here.”

“Sigh! Okay, fine. I was just teasing you,” I just smiled to her.

“Your friends are already here, baby. Talk to them,” she then smiled at me too. I'm glad they are here now.

“Yes, Tita. I will.”

We talked and talked while we are waiting for Dad. We didn't expect that Aela and Claire would come too. I hope they are alright now.

We are now here in front of the church. As usual, Dad drove us here. I really love everything here! From the sweet ambiance of this place, the fresh air, the warm embrace of the cool wind, the sound of every people that are talking to each other and of course, the priests sermons. God is really amazing! He made this world and every places on it beautifully. I am so glad that I am able to appreciate everything in this world.

God spent six days while creating this world, from the sun, skies, gardens, flowers and most especially the people. He then took a rest on the seventh day and because it is rest day today, we should focus more on Him and learn to praise and glorify Him too. He never left us nor abandoned us but instead, He stayed. He totally stayed with all of us. That's why we must give thanks to Him for everything that we can.

When the mass ended, we did not go home yet. We stayed outside the church and stayed on the garden. Yes, we are allowed to stay there and to sit down on the grass while we are talking since it is actually clean everyday so we don't need to worry.
