Chapter 9

Dad is Alive

It's Saturday today and now is the time that I'll be meeting that guy who has called me on Thursday.

I woke up by 7 am in the morning to prepare myself.

“Good morning, baby!” Tita Alexa said.

“Good morning, Tita! Where's Mom?” I said.

“Sheena went to the mall to buy us some stuffs and also things that we need here,”

“Oh, okay. When will Mom go home, Tita?”

“She'll be here few minutes from now. Don't worry, baby,”

“Okay. Let's eat now, Tita,”

“Sure, baby,”

We both started to eat our breakfast without even waiting for Mom to come home because Tita Alexa told me that she already ate before going to the mall.

After eating, I went straight to the bathroom to freshen up.

Few hours came, I am now ready to go. Today, I am in my blue dress and flats too and I really admit that this is actually my casual or outdoor wear/outfit. I really love dresses too.

“Mom, Tita Alexa, I'll go now,” I said.

“Where are you going, baby?” Tita Alexa asked.

“Are you going out with your friends, Shie?” Mom asked me too.

“Yes, Mom. We will be watching some movie together, buy some stuffs for school and we also planned to eat on a restaurant nearby too,”

“Oh, that's good baby. You should enjoy too,”

“Yeah, I agree with you Lexa. Don't stress yourself, Shie,”

“Yes, Mom and Tita Alexa. Don't worry about me. I'll go home safe, okay?”

“Okay, baby. Take care of yourself, alright?” I nodded.

“We will be waiting for you here, Shie,”

“Thanks for the both of you. I'll get going now, bye,” they both smiled at me.

When I was already outside, I called a taxi to pick me up.

“Where are you off to, Ma'am?” the driver asked.

“Just take me to The Avila's Restaurant,” I answered.

I admire this place from now on. The architectural designs here are fancier, simpler and full of elegance and beauty all around this place. I admit that I've never been in this place like this one because this is exactly a huge one. The stuffs, foods and things here are well organized and the people working here are also neat and clean from head to toe and they are also doing some safety precautions and also some hygienic purposes just to keep themselves safe, and germ free from any harmful stuffs here.

In the end, all I can say is this place is so beautiful and I really love this. How I wish I could also manage and have this kind of place someday.

I had to ask the people there about him.

“Good morning! May I ask you a question?” I asked.

“Yes, Ma'am. By the way, I'm Emily. What is it about?”

“I'm Shiela. Do you even know a man named Warden Nikolai Avila?”

“Yes, of course Ma'am. He's actually the owner of this place. Why did you asked about him, Ma'am?”
