Chapter 18

Shopping with Claire

Yesterday, we all planned to go shopping today since it's Saturday. All of us has to buy whatever we want on the mall but not too much. We know about our limitations.

I'm now ready to go. But, just one more thing, I have to let Mom know about this.

I saw them on the living room talking to each other.

“Mom, Tita Alexa, I'll go outside now. My friends and I planned to go to the mall today just to enjoy ourselves and to bond together with our new found friend,” they both nodded.

“Oh, okay Shie. Go home after, alright?”

“Yes, Mom,” she smiled.

“Anyway, who's your new friend? We want to meet her, Shie,”

“She's a girl. A famous vlogger on YouTube, Mom. Don't worry, I'll ask her to come here after we shop,” she nodded.

“Wow! Now, I'm excited to see her, baby,” I smiled.

“You must be, Tita. She's one of your favorite vloggers, Mom and Tita,” they both stood up.

“W-What?!” they said in chorus.

“Haha, yes. I just gave you a clue. So, I guess you should think about who is she,” I smirked.

“Okay, fine. We'll just guess,”

“Yeah, we will baby,” I chuckled.

“I'll go now. They are already waiting for me there. Bye,” I just waved my hand when they both nodded.

As usual, I'm still with Dad. He just wants to keep me safe from any harm and also to take care of me too. I always inform him when and where am I going just as what he told me to do. He wanted to go with me and I just let him be.

Until now, he still hasn't been with Mom since he's not yet ready to face her. I don't know why but I feel like there's something wrong. In fact, Mom isn't mad at him, actually. I observed that Mom is really longing for Dad.

There's always a perfect time for everything. Just wait and trust the process.

“Shiela, why is your Mom so happy?” I chuckled.

“I told her that I'll introduce Claire to them later, Dad. Claire is one of Mom and Tita's favorite vloggers,” he smiled.

“Oh, that's great! She's fine, right?”

“Yes, Dad. Mom is fine but...” he stared at me.

“But?”

“But Mom is always longing for you and for your presence, Dad. She's been wanting to see you right away,”

For about 2 minutes, I didn't hear any word from Dad. He just kept silent.

“I am sorry, Shiela. It's still complicated for the both of us. I hope you understand,”

“Do not apologize, Dad. I can understand you. I know there's something you're not telling me,” he's actually shocked to what I've said.

“Y-Yes, Shiela. This isn't the right time for that. I'll tell you everything when all is settled,”

“Don't worry, Dad. I won't force you to do so. I'll just wait when you are ready,”

“Thank you, Shiela. I think I'll meet your Mom next month. I'm still not sure,”
