Dusk laid across one of the sofas in the living room, staring up at the ceiling as she tried to get the wheels in her head to move again so she could finish writing her song. But so far, she wasn't having much luck. "What are you doing?" Luther asked, walking into the living room. The raven looked up at him but didn't say a word. The two always had a rocky relationship when they were kids and would constantly get into fights, the majority of the time being over their abilities.
"How come you get the power of a phoenix, and I only get super strength?!" He complained. "Luther, you're such a baby! Your power is the same in every comic book! Mine isn't! Why do you think Dad named me Number Eight?" Dusk bit back. "He named you Number Eight because he found you last. He found me first!" Luther answered. "No, he named you Number One because your power is the most useless! One day Luther, you'll realize that I am right," Dusk said before slamming her bedroom door.
"Alright then," Luther sighed before walking off down the hall. As she was about to get off the couch and go back upstairs, the front door opened, and Klaus stumbled inside, still keeping his hand on his head. "Oh my god, Klaus!" Dusk gasped when she saw the blood dripping down his head. "What happened?" Klaus looked up at her, acting like it was no big deal. "Come on, let's get you to Mom," She said, wrapping a strong arm behind his back as she tried to lead him to the infirmary.
"No, I don't need Mom's help!" Klaus protested. "Fine, but could you at least let me help?" He looked over at her, meeting her pleading blue eyes. There was no way he could say no to Dusk, especially when she offered to help. "Okay," He nodded slowly. She led him to one of the upstairs bathrooms and grabbed a towel and some antiseptic from the cabinet. "Stay still, this may sting a little," Dusk warned as she applied the towel to the cut. The junkie groaned softly as she gently picked the snow globe sparkles off his face.
"How did this happen?" She asked. "Five wanted me to go with him to this building to try to find the owner of some glass eye or whatever," Klaus answered. "And he wanted me to scare the guy into giving him the record, so I smashed his precious snow globe on my head," Dusk chuckled softly at the thought of him doing that, but she also imagined the pain he must've been in after the impact, and the bad headache he would have later that day. "You are so weird. You know that?" She smiled.
Klaus chuckled as he recalled that memory. "Maybe a little. But I'm glad at least one person in this house appreciates my humor," Dusk's cheeks began to turn a bright red when he mentioned that he saw her laugh at his jokes. She tried not to make it obvious she was laughing, but she couldn't help but laugh out loud at certain jokes. "I wish Five would lighten up sometimes, I get he's been through a lot with going to the future unable to see his family, but he's here now,"
"Well, I can't blame him. You would probably be a bit cranky if you hadn't seen you're family in over seventeen years," Dusk replied as she picked off the last few pieces from his face. "Alright, I think one good face wash will get the rest off," She smiled. "Thanks, songbird," he smiled back, embracing her softly. "Your welcome, Klausy," She muffled into his navy blue suit. The two of them stayed in their embrace for a few minutes until their arms almost gave out. Klaus walked out of the bathroom and over to his bedroom.
Dusk took a seat on her piano bench again, going back to the music she had been trying to work on. Talking to Klaus helped her writer's block a little, but soon a new problem arose. She couldn't get the moment they were hugging out of her mind. She tried to push it away, but it kept coming back like a boomerang. She continued to feel the warmth of his body on her torso, and she could still feel his arms around her.
Her eyes slowly closed but quickly widened when a thought crossed her mind. Even though they were raised to be like brother and sister, they were not blood-related, making her thoughts about him not incestuous.
Am I in love with Klaus?
A/n: I know this is a shorter chapter than what I usually post on this story. But this was a custom ending I made for Episode two in order to write Episode three. But I hope you guys enjoyed this cute chapter with Klaus and Dusk, and I'll see you in the next chapter!
With love,
