The moment Klaus reached his girlfriend's room, he immediately heard some suspicious and worrying sounds. They consisted of unintelligible murmurs, like a satanic chant with occasional coughs and whimpers. His eyes widened with fear as he knocked on the door hurriedly. "Dusk? My love, what's wrong?" He panicked. But the sobbing continued. He dug through his satin green pockets, grabbing his pickpocketing bobby pins.

His jaw dropped the moment he stepped inside, seeing his moonlit rose crumpled into a ball in the corner, rocking back and forth with her head buried into her knees. "It's all my fault, it's all my fault..." her voice muffled. What's all her fault? He wondered. He slid onto the ground beside her and placed a hand on her back, notifying her of his presence. When she looked up at him, Klaus could tell just by the look in her eyes she saw something traumatic, something besides his 56th death.

"Dusky, please tell me what's wrong," he whispered, wiping away some of her tears. Her bottom lip quivered, and the only thing she could do was reach toward him, pulling him into her arms. "I-I-I," she stuttered, coughing again at her third stutter. "Yes?" Klaus nodded, encouraging her to go on. "Allison... she rumored me," she admitted. Klaus's eyes widened with surprise as he never thought she could do that to any of her family.

"What did she make you do?" Klaus questioned. Dusk took a shaking breath, explaining the entire scenario as Allison took advantage of Luther and forced the raven to walk away. This further stirred Klaus's surprise and anger. That bitch! How dare she hurt them? "I tried using a fireball, but I think Allison's power did something to stop me from fighting back..." Dusk shuddered. "I should've done more,"

Klaus knew how she felt. When he held Dave's dying body in his arms during the Vietnam War, he wished he could've done something more that could potentially save his life. Though this was an entirely different scenario than his girlfriend's, he understood her thought process. "You did everything you could. Defending Luther was better than doing nothing at all," Klaus stroked a piece of her hair.

"I know, but maybe I could've scared her off if I let my demon out. Then he wouldn't have been..." the raven trailed off, trying desperately to push away the memory. He hugged her a little tighter, whispering words of comfort in hopes of calming her. "I don't think I can ever forgive her after this," Dusk muffled. "And you don't have to. What she did was screwed up," Klaus nodded understandingly.

The two of them stayed on the floor for what seemed like forever. The longer they stayed together, the more Dusk began to calm down, her body soon growing numb, and she didn't know if that was normal. "Klaus, be honest with me. If you had Allison's power, would you ever use it on me?" she questioned. "Absolutely not. If anything, I'd use that power to protect you from people like her," This reassurance warmed the phoenix's heart, and it showed that Klaus truthfully loved her.

A tiny smile formed at the corner of her lips, and without a second thought, she filled the space between them with a kiss. "What would I do without you?" she whispered. "Well, I saw you crying over my body, so I guess that's something!" He softly chuckled. Dusk looked down at his chest, noticing his wound had almost completely healed. "Don't worry about it, sweetheart. The pain's gone," he said, having a hunch that was her concern. "Now, come here,"

As their passionate kisses continued for another few minutes, Klaus scooped the raven up by her waist. The couch wasn't big enough to fit them, so they decided to lie on one of the beds. He could feel his heart racing as Dusk's soft hands ran down his skin, leaving a subtle trail of warmth on his tattooed stomach. "No matter how long we have left till this kugel hits, I'll be by your side," the junkie promised, cupping her face gently in his hands.
