The thought of exposing Sebastian to his friends and family consumed Dusk's every thought as she tossed and turned on the couch. She knew exactly how she would do it, what she would wear, and the words she would say. A wicked grin formed as she imagined the looks of horror from everybody, especially Sebastian's mother.
No doubt she'll beat him with a chair. That woman does not mess around with disrespect toward women. She giggled softly, eventually feeling her body give into slumber. She must've slept for an hour or two before the sun peeked through the windows. As she rubbed the tired out of her eyes, the raven could hear sobbing noises.
As her vision adjusted, Dusk realized it was Allison, who had left the previous night to find her daughter. "Alli, I didn't hear you come back. Are you okay? How's Claire?" She asked, sitting at the edge of her sister's bed. "S-she's gone... Claire's gone," Allison whispered, burying her face into her pillow. "I should've known something like this could happen. But I completely ignored it, and I paid the price,"
Number Eight rubbed her sister's shoulder and whispered words of comfort. She couldn't imagine what it was like to lose a child, but she knew that the pain was unbearable. "I'm so sorry. Can I get you anything to eat?" she offered. "No, just leave me alone..." Reluctantly, Dusk stood up and walked towards the door, but as she was about to open it, she turned around again double-checking Allison's response.
"Just go!" Allison shouted. Without another word, Dusk took the elevator to the main floor for breakfast. The smell of freshly cooked eggs, bacon, muffins, and the sound of blenders caught her attention. She walked to the counter, and as she grabbed a plate, a boy around the age of twelve swiped it from her. "Excuse me, little boy. That was mine," Dusk said calmly, as she did not want to scare the kid. "Well, it's mine now!" he smirked before walking to one of the booths at the far end of the section.
Well, excuse me for being polite. No matter, there's still plenty more. The raven picked up another plate, piling a small stack of mini muffins, fruits, donut holes, and an orange sunrise mimosa clutched in her other hand. "Morning, honeybee," Klaus smiled as she set her plate on the table. She softly kissed his cheek, feeling a bit of stubble tickle her lips.
"Guess what? Diego's got a delinquent son!" he chuckled. "Really? And where is he, if I may ask?" Dusk questioned, glancing at the pouting Diego. "Allegedly my son," he clarified, pointing to the far-end booth, they all watched as he helped himself to one of the jelly pastries. It was the same boy the raven had come in contact with only moments ago. "Wait, that's your kid? Who is the mother?"
"Lila," Diego answered, making everyone at the table's jaws drop. "W-wait a second, Lila's here? Since when?" Five inquired. "Was. She dropped him off along with a ginger girl, then bolted," Ginger girl? The image of Victoria briefly flashed before Dusk's eyes, and almost immediately, she knew Diego was talking about her. "I don't much care for those two," Klaus commented.
"Well Klaus, technically they're family," Five sighed sipping his mimosa. "Are you serious? They were trying to murder us, like... yesterday!" Not Victoria, Klausy... Five continued before asking Diego if his ex-girlfriend was coming back. Diego replied, "She goddamn better be because we've got more important things to be dealing with right now!" The little boy looked up from his plate as his father's voice caught his attention.
