"Oh my god, it's snowing!" Dusk pointed out, her eyes widening at the white sight on the former green field next to Sissy's house. The barn had a gray cloud hovering above it that spewed occasional lightning and more snow on the front. As the siblings got out of the car, the barn door flung open, and out came a blonde-haired woman in jeans and a long jacket, holding in both hands a rifle.
"Get back! I mean it, don't move a muscle!" She shouted, making everyone put their hands up and stop in their tracks. "Sissy, what's wrong?" Vanya asked, trying her best to remain calm. The blonde shook her head, muttering something about a man named Carl, presumably her husband. "He's dead. Harlan tossed him aside like a rag doll, the same way you sent those policemen flying! What have you done to my son?" Sissy's breathing started shaky and fearful but now became full of anger.
"We don't have time for this," Diego said, beginning to march towards the barn but stopping as Sissy aimed her rifle at his chest. "Sissy, listen to me! I found my family. These are my brothers and sisters," Vanya said, pointing to each of her siblings. Slowly, Sissy lowered her gun as they all explained they were there to help her boy. But even then, she still had her doubts.
"Were you lying to me the whole time?" She questioned. "Of course not! I didn't know who I was before, but I do now. And we are not the monsters that everyone says we are. We're not here to hurt anybody," Vanya spoke honestly. In the middle of it all, Dusk could feel one of Klaus's hands go to her waist.
Sissy eventually nodded her head, leading the siblings inside the barn. When they stepped inside, they saw Harlan suspended in the air, energy crackling around him. Bursts of orange and blue light came and went in spirals, reaching the ceiling as the weather above worsened, becoming more and more colder. Vanya carefully used her powers to enter the forcefield surrounding him, shouting over the noise, hoping he could hear her.
As the rest of the siblings stood by, a loud crackle and a burst of blue light came from the field, gaining Klaus's attention. Though he couldn't see it very well, he did notice three people were standing at the far end of the field, one taller than the other two. Curiously, he tried to get a better glimpse. "Guys!" Klaus called out. Everyone except for Vanya looked in his direction, wondering what he saw.
"Oh shit..." Five trailed off, recognizing who they were. When Dusk laid eyes on the distant figures, one of them began to look very familiar to her. But she couldn't quite place her finger on it. "Who are those people?" Klaus questioned. "One's the Handler, one is Diego's girlfriend, and the redhead is-" "Victoria? What is she doing with them?" Dusk interrupted.
Five turned his head, seeing the shocked look on her face. "Wait, you know her?" He asked. "Yes! She's my friend from back in Dallas," Dusk nodded. Dozens of questions crossed her mind, none of them providing an answer, leaving her even more confused. Why is she with them? Is she the enemy? No, she can't be! It all slowly began to sink in, and the feeling was so horrible that Dusk tried to deny it.
"Alright, me and Diego are gonna go find out what they want. You guys stay with Vanya and the kid," Five spoke. "I'm coming with you guys," Dusk added. Five shook his head, telling her that he and Diego could handle this by themselves, making her even more emotionally disturbed. "Like it or not, I'm coming with you," Dusk insisted, following her two brothers out of the barn, into the seemingly endless field.
