As Klaus and Five were having their little dispute about their addictions, Dusk was lying on her bed, staring up at the ceiling, having no clue what to do. Shortly after the argument between her brothers ended, a knock came from outside, and she looked up to see Klaus standing in the doorway. "So, what did Five want?" She asked, motioning him to come inside. "He keeps going on and on about Dad knowing about the apocalypse, all that other shit," he replied as he lay next to her.

"Well, the old bastard can't time travel, so I'm still confused about that," She scoffed, looking over at Klaus as he stared up at the ceiling. Dusk looked down at his inked hand, wanting to place hers in his. He did seem to be in a better frame of mind now that he was sober. And she liked seeing him so calm and peaceful. "I like this sober you," She whispered, breaking the silence. He looked over at her, meeting her gaze as a small smile crossed her lips. "You're the second person who said that," He chuckled.

Suddenly, the house started to shake, almost like they were in an earthquake. "W-what's going on?" Klaus's voice shuddered as the house continued to shake. It got a little harder, and without thinking, he wrapped his arms around the raven, clutching her tightly. It startled her a bit, but she wrapped her warm hands around him as well, shushing and telling him it would be okay.

The shaking then stopped, making Dusk look all over her room, seeing faint cracks in the walls. "Was that an earthquake?" Klaus asked. "I don't know. We should check to see if everyone else is alright," she said, freeing herself from his grasp and walking downstairs. "Hey, is everyone alright?" Her voice echoed throughout the halls, but there was no reply. "Well, where is everyone?" Klaus asked, trailing behind her.

Her eyes scanned the hall, and she saw a rusted gold gate. She walked towards it, noticing that behind it was an elevator shaft. "I didn't know we had an elevator in this house," she mumbled. Stepping inside, she pulled the lever, and about a minute later, the metal box glided up, making a small squeak as it stopped. "Maybe the others are down here," Klaus suggested as the elevator began moving again.

As they reached the basement, Dusk coughed as she looked at the dusty surroundings. "Dusk? What are you doing down here?" Luther asked, turning around to face her. "Everything started shaking, and we were looking all over for you guys!" She explained. She caught a glimpse of something behind them, but she couldn't see it clearly. "What's going on?" She asked, trying to move past them. But Luther grabbed her arm. "Dusk, go back upstairs," he said bluntly.

"Why? Why can't I see what's behind you? Tell me what it is!" Luther and Diego continued trying to convince her to do as they said, but she managed to free herself from Luther's grip. She stood on the tips of her toes, looking over his shoulder to see someone banging on the glass of a metal door. To her horror, she saw it was Vanya. Thank god they found her! But why is she in there? the raven tried to get closer, wanting to open the door for her, but Luther once again grabbed her. "Touch me again and see what happens!"

She stared into his eyes, almost daring him to do that to her again. He stood down and let go of her. "Explain to me why Vanya is in there," Dusk commanded, trying to be as calm as possible. "She has powers," He explained to her. "You locked up our sister because you think she has powers?" Diego asked. "No, I know she does, Pogo told me. Dad hid it because he was afraid of her," Klaus approached the metal door, watching as Vanya screamed her head off.

"If you're right, then maybe she's the one who killed Peabody," Diego realized, his eyes growing wide. "Whoa, no. This is Vanya we're talking about. The one who always cried when we stepped on ants as kids," Klaus cut in, shaking his head in disbelief. "Yeah, I know. I know it's difficult to accept-" "It's not difficult to accept, it's impossible to accept! Vanya is a good person! She's not some villain! And you would know that if you for once paid attention to her!" Dusk shouted.

The basement filled with complete silence, and even Vanya's screams subsided. They knew Dusk could get angry at times. But at this point, the flames in her eyes were becoming brighter and brighter, the roaring fire in her heart. "Unlock that door, Luther," She demanded. "Dusk, you know I can't do that. She's too dangerous," He shook his head. "Too dangerous? Says you!" She shook with rage. "We can't keep her locked up in here without proof!" Diego protested.

"What more proof do you need?" Luther fought back. "Well, how about we open the door and ask her?" Klaus suggested. Luther continued shaking his head, telling his siblings that she was not going anywhere. No matter how much they tried to reason with him, he would not give in.  Footsteps came from behind them, and Allison came into view, holding a notebook in one hand. "Alli! You're okay!" Dusk smiled, rushing towards her sister and hugging her. "Allison, what are you doing down here? You should be in bed," Allison flipped to a blank page and started writing, lifting the pad to reveal the message, Let her go.

"See? Even Allison wants you to let her go," Dusk smirked at Luther. "I can't do that. She hurt you. I'm sorry, but she's staying put. Just until we know what we're dealing with," Luther said, looking directly at Allison. He walked towards her, trying to guide her back upstairs, but she kept hitting his chest in protest. "You know what? Screw it!" the raven whispered. She rushed towards the door, but Klaus blocked her way as she tried to scoot past him.

"Let me open it!" She snarled. "Calm down, songbird!" He whispered to her, hoping that she would. But the red in Dusk's eyes turned blood red. "I AM NOT YOUR GODDAMN SONGBIRD! GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" She screamed. Klaus instantly felt his heart drop in his chest. She had never yelled at him before and it almost tore him to pieces.

"Get her upstairs and make sure she doesn't come out of her room," Luther instructed. Klaus grabbed her arm, trying to drag her back to the elevator. As he continued to drag, he felt someone take Dusk's other arm. He looked over his shoulder to see it was Diego. "I hate all of you! ESPECIALLY YOU, LUTHER!" Getting Dusk to her room continued to be a pain as she continued struggling and drug her feet. But eventually, they managed to lock her inside. And just like her sister, she too was pounding in an attempt to get free.

"Klaus, please don't do this!" She screamed like a toddler having a tantrum. "Open the door! Open the door, or I swear to God, I will hate you till the day I die!" Diego and Klaus tried to block out her screams the longer they stood at her door, but with every attempt to save their hearing, it seemed like her shrieks were growing louder than a banshee. Soon, Dusk felt her voice almost give out, and she soon collapsed onto the floor in exhaustion. "I... hate... you..." She quietly squeaked.

Out of the corner of her eyes, she watched as the sun's final rays disappeared. Quietly, she walked over to her window and opened it just enough for her to slip through. "I'm not going to let you keep her prisoner," She climbed down the fire escape and went through the main entrance as quietly as a mouse. She pulled the lever, and the elevator started moving again as she reached the bottom of the shaft. Then, a loud creaking and thud came from the basement.

"Vanya?" She asked, her voice echoing. As she got closer to reaching her sister, she let out a few coughs as smoke filled her lungs. As the smoke departed, sure enough, Dusk saw her. But this time, with pale skin and wide blue and white eyes.
