They told her she was okay. That it wasn't her fault.

But they didn't see the way their eyes dulled.

Did they deserve it?

They made fun of one for being dead.

They tried to do things that made another feel uncomfortable.

They took advantage of people.

They were angry at her for something she couldn't control.

Did they deserve it?

Maybe they did after all.

Nobody was innocent.

She should learn, finally, to let go.

But things weren't so easy, and ignoring a problem and letting go are easily confused.

And so the problem was pushed to the side once more.
