I hear them

5 0 0

I hear the voices of the dead, they whisper, whisper to me

They call to me but only in my head and say 'come be free'

I pass by a graveyard at night, where many friends are buried

The weight of knowing they died because of me, I'll always have carried

But I feel them close and holding my hand,

and whisper to me as I pass by the land

'Pause a moment

As you pass by.

As you are now,

So once were we!

As we are now,

So you shall be!'

And I'm glad.

'Cause I'm tired of living so sad.

And one day when I see them, I'll hug them all tight

Just know then, it'll all be alright

When I'm gone, everything will be right

Because now, my future isn't so bright

And the voices, they say I will die, but not now

I wonder if I could ask them what time and how?

But until then, I'll wait

patiently for my fate

'Til time comes for me, finally

Holding my hand.

And when that time comes,

I'll take my last bow.
