beautiful ponds

Koi in clean water

in the sky

The moon at night

but friendship exceeding all

realms of nature and life

But not memory

but trust comes few

and many times, far between

Spare your trust

but promises

unfulfilled and unkept

Promises long forgotten

but the cold embrace

of death, holding me

The chilling arms of peace

but the sense of longing

for something more than this
