As a gamer myself, I always thought that this was interesting and made a sort of sense.
If you're terrified, you can't fall asleep.
But what if you didn't know something was waiting for you?
I've started to realize by each passing day that the rule is ridiculous.
Why can't you sleep if you're not scared of something you can't see?
It's been going on for a while now, actually.

It's night now.
I can see the moon shining and I feel the grasp of the brisk wind on my shoulder as I walk down the sidewalk.
I can feel it coming up.
The moment of sleep whilst being gazed upon by a monster.
I wasn't worried, though.
In fact, it's been happening for a while.
As I strolled up to the ladder at the side of the house and climbed it to the roof to sit, I stretched a bit, even yawned.
Really, the rule was a bit stupid.
I knew that with all my heart as I gazed out into the area around my house, shivering a bit.

I knew it because she's been able to sleep even though I've been watching her this whole time.
