Taehyung's POV

Driving to Amy's hospital, I parked my car in the usual spot, and in a short while, I saw her walking out of the main building. I quickly called her and watched as she pulled out her phone and stared at it.

But why isn't she picking my call? Why did she stop there? What is going on? How do I tell her that I'm here?

Just then she answered the call.

"Amy, I'm waiting for you," I said softly, trying to sound calm, but the desperation in my tone was evident.

I didn't have to tell her where I was. She knew it. She knew me like she knew her own ten fingers.

Turning in my direction, she looked at my car. I smiled broadly and waved to her from inside the car, and she surely saw me, but she just very dryly said a meek 'okay' and ended the call.

What happened to her? Amy would usually pick my call within the first two full rings, and she would be so enthusiastic when I told her that I was here. Why is she so gloomy today?

My mind began firing questions like bullets, and I fixed my steady gaze on her as she walked over to my car. She sat down in the front passenger seat and closed the door, but didn't look at me.

I took her hand in mine and held it gently.
"Amy, are you okay, baby?" I asked, softly stroking the back of her hand with my thumb.

She only nodded and exhaled deeply.

"Baby, please don't say you're okay when you're really not okay. Your eyes don't lie. I know that you're not feeling good. You don't want to tell me why? Are you still feeling sick?" I brought her hand to my lips and kissed it tenderly, and Amy's eyes welled with tears.

She was crying, and my anger raged thinking who could have ruined her day. She was so precious to me, and I couldn't bear to see her crying.

"Baby... Amy, what happened? Please tell me. I can't bear to see your tears. It's making me so sad," I pleaded with her to tell me what went wrong.

She wiped away her tears with her fingers and spoke, "Taehyung, can we go out of here first?"

"Okay," I handed her some tissues and drove out of the hospital. She didn't look at me from the moment she entered the car. As I drove, I glanced over at Amy every now and then, but she didn't even look at me from the corner of her eyes. She was looking outside at the road and it hurt my heart. I wanted to talk and hold her tight and comfort her, but she wasn't even looking at me.

After a short and silent drive, I pulled over outside a pick-up restaurant.

"Amy, did you eat something?" I asked her.

She shook her head.
"No, I haven't eaten."

I was shocked.
"What do you mean? Like all day?"

She bobbed her head robotically. "Yeah... I forgot." Still without attempting to make any kind of eye contact with me.

I was beyond shocked.
"You what? How can you forget to eat? No wonder you seem so upset. Wait, I'll get us something delicious to eat." I hastily unbuckled my seat belt.

"Taehyung, it's not that. I'm not hungry," she shook her head, stopping me from getting out.

"You haven't eaten all day, and how can you not be hungry?" I was a bit furious now.

"I wanted to talk to you," she looked at me for the first time since I picked her up from work.

Our eyes met, and I couldn't bear to see the sadness and torment that clouded her eyes. Turning my body to sit down facing her, I took her hand in mine and softly spoke to her while holding our gazes.
