I don't know how many times I've survived myself and never told anyone.

Taehyung's POV

After the birthday party last night and all of the events from yesterday, I was sucked out of all my energy, and I slept early. This morning, I woke up and went straight to Jimin's house to tell him about how and when I had decided to meet Amy.

At Jimin's house, only JiHye was there.

"Where's Jimin?" I asked her as I took off my slippers and entered the house.

"He has gone out for lunch. He'll be back soon," she replied flatly and slammed the door shut, the loud noise making me flinch and scrunch my eyes and nose.

"He didn't take you out for lunch?" I quizzed her, following her down to the living room.

"He has gone out with some special friends. I didn't want to stop him or interfere," she replied nonchalantly without even bothering to look at me.

Special friends??

"Can I wait until he comes?" I asked her, and she nodded and walked away.

She is always so indifferent, but why would I care?

Leaning back on the couch and making myself comfortable, I called Jimin.
"Jimin ah, where are you?"

"I'm at home. Where are you?" He lied without faltering.

"I'm at your home too. Liar!" I snapped back, feeling a bit curious about why he lied to me.

"You are? I'm sorry. I'll be there in ten minutes," he apologized quickly.

"Who are the special friends you met for lunch today?" I prodded him curiously.

"I'll see you soon," he dodged my question and ended the call.

Sulking to myself, feeling totally bored and lonely, I waited for Jimin to arrive. JiHye was doing her own work, and I was fed up of scrolling through stuff on my phone.

Should I text Amy? Does she still use the same phone numbers?

Just then Jimin returned and derailed my train of thoughts.

"Taehyung ah, you came here suddenly?" He asked as he walked in removing his mask and beanie.

"I wanted to talk to you. Where did you go?" I raised my eyebrows and waited for his reply, but he took off his coat and glanced over at JiHye and then looked at me.

"I had lunch with some old friends," he spoke without maintaining eye contact, and I knew he wasn't entirely speaking the truth.

"Special old friends? Whatever..." I rolled my eyes, huffing in disappointment.

"Come..." he said and took me to his room, closing the door behind him.

I lay down on his bed facing the ceiling and folded my hands under my head while he sat at the edge of the bed.

"Jimin ah... I've decided to meet Amy," I informed him, and he turned to look at me over his shoulders with a surprised look on his face.

"When? Where?" he asked sounding unimpressed, the tone of his voice not matching the look on his face.

"Tomorrow. She used to be relatively free at work on Mondays. I hope it's still the same," I nodded at my own conclusion.

"She's a senior counsellor now, so it might be different," he said calmly and turned his head to look away from me.
