It all comes down to the last person you think of each night. That is where your heart is.
🌺Amy's POV
I wanted to give Taehyung a memorable birthday gift. It should be a testimonial for the undying love we shared, the unconditional love that underwent the test of time and trust and rose back from the ashes like a powerful and formidable Phoenix bird. After raking through my mind for a few days, I decided what needed to be done.
There would be no better gift than this.
Reaching Jay's house in the evening, I was met by MinJun at the gate. The moment he saw my car, he began jumping up and down, and as soon as I parked my car and climbed out of it, he came running into my arms, bringing tears to my eyes. I hugged him tight and kissed him all over his face, and he planted a lot of sloppy kisses on my face and hugged me tighter.
I missed this boy more than I ever imagined.
Taking him into an empty room in Jay's house, I sat down on the floor with him, and he snuggled up to me. Junior, with his warm clothes, always looked like a fluffy teddy bear, not any different from his father.
"MinJun ah, did you miss eomma? Because eomma missed you so much, honey," I asked him softly, stroking his head and nestling him closer to my body.
"Yes, eomma. I missed you so much," he said in a muffled voice as his face was buried in between the folds of my coat.
I stroked his head gently, kissing the top of his head a few times.
"Did you have fun?" I was curious. He sprang up and spoke excitedly with wide eyes and animated hand movements, "Eomma... I had lots of fun. Uncle Allan took us to Everland. It was amazing." He flashed his father's square smile.
I chuckled at his enthusiasm.
"Yeah, you told me. I'm so glad you enjoyed. Did you play with Mia baby?""Yes, eomma... she is so soft and cute. Her toes are so tiny. I also want a baby sister. Eomma, please, why don't you get a baby too?" He cupped my face in his soft tiny hands and spoke innocently with his irresistible puppy eyes, another strong trait that Taehyung passed on to him.
The only traits that MinJun got from me are probably his small fingers and his pointy nose which were nothing like Taehyung's.
"You want a baby sister? Okay, I will pray to get one..." I ruffled his hair, smiling.
"Really? I love you, eomma...." he hugged me again and then pulled away to look at me.
"Eomma, where's Taehyung ahjussi? He didn't come?" He asked with a cute pout.
"Honey, he had to meet his friends today. He will meet you soon. He misses you a lot..." I told him.
"I miss him too," he said with the cutest pout.
"Honey bun, I have something very interesting to tell you. But before that, I have a question to ask you." I kneeled down, resting my bottom on the back of my feet and brought my son to stand facing me.
His curious eyes were fixed on mine, suddenly making me a bit nervous.
I breathed out my nervousness.
"MinJun ah, Aunt Jay and uncle Allan are Mia baby's parents. Every child has two parents. Have you ever wondered why you have been with only one parent, that is, eomma, for so long?" I wanted to get it straight and tell him nothing but the truth.
He nodded.
"Yes, eomma. I have wondered why I don't have appa. Ji Woo and Soo Bin have appa and eomma. Young Jae too," he spoke so cutely, and his words were honest and innocent and made my heart wrench at the same time wondering how this little boy had kept it within himself all these days.
