I'm Not Leaving You (Keith Kogane x Reader)

III

As we hopped out of the lion, the Castle doors opened, inviting us in.
"Hello?" Yelled Hunk as it echoed through the walls.
Of course no one responded back, so we all looked at him a little annoyed. Suddenly the castle practically came alive, and this bright blue beam surrounded us. "Hold for identity scan."
As we all stood there in astonishment, Shiro had the guts to speak up. "Why are we here?" He asked, "What do you want with us?"
No response. The blue beam then slowly dissolved, and the lights turned on going into the hallway in front of us.
"I guess.. we're going that way." Said Pidge.

As we entered the room and looked around, two life preserving pods slowly appeared from the floor.
"Are these guys.. dead?" Asked Hunk.
Before anyone could respond, the barrier on one of the pods started to dissolve, and a beautiful dark skinned girl fell through.
"Father!" She yelled with her arm outstretched towards us, slowly falling.
"Woah," Said Lance, catching the girl before she fell.
"Who are you? Where am I?" She asked.
"I'm Lance. And you're right here in my arms."
"Your ears." She said a little confused.
"Yeah?"
"They're hideous," she responded, "What's wrong with them?"
"Nothing's wrong with them! They heard exactly what you said about them!"
Then, the girl grabbed Lance by the ear and turned him around, pushing his knees down and putting pressure on his spine with her elbow.
"Who are you? Where is King Alfor? What are you doing in my castle?" She yelled.
"Woah, woah!" I butted in, "A giant blue lion brought us here! We don't know anything else!"
"How do you have the Blue Lion?!" She asked, "What are you all doing here? Unless... How long has it been?"
"Look," I said, "We don't know what you're talking about. Why don't you tell us who you are and then we'll try and help."
"I am Princess Allura of Planet Altea." She responded walking over to the control panel. The other pod's barrier then dissolved, and a much older man with a giant mustache appeared.
"Enemy combatants!" He yelled, going after Lance, completely missing, "Quiznak! You're lucky I have a case of the old sleep chamber knees! Otherwise, I'd grab your head like this, wrap you up like so—One, two, three— Sleepy time!" He gestured, snapping his fingers.
Lance and this very, very strange man then started arguing on how they'd fight each other before Allura interrupted.
"It can't be." She said.
"What is it?" The man asked.
"We've been asleep for 10,000 years!" She paused, "Planet Altea and all of the planets in our solar system have been destroyed. Coran, father is gone. Our home... Zarkon."
"Zarkon?" Shiro asked, "I remember now... I was his prisoner."
"He's still alive? Impossible!" She said.
"I can't explain it, but it's true. He searching for a super weapon called Voltron."
"He's looking for it because he knows it's the only thing that can destroy him, and thats exactly why we need to find it before he does."

"Princess," Said Coran, "You must eat. It's been 10,000 years!"
"Man, 10,000 years," Said Lance, "That's like one thousand plus ten."
"That's times ten." Said Keith.
"Whatever, dropout."
I laughed and nudged Keith a little, seeing he was getting irritated, "Don't let him get under your skin." I whispered.
As Hunk and Pidge started talking about food and throwing up and stuff, Shiro started up a little conversation with Coran and Allura. Just after Coran said they were the last Alteans alive, Allura found a few mice that she could communicate with. I can't imagine what she must be going through. Sure I lost Shiro for a while, and my parents were gone, but I had Keith. He was a loner just like I was, and together we changed that about ourselves. Now Shiro's back and I've got Keith along with the others that I came here with. I can finally say that I've got a sort of family. I'm really not sure what to call them, but I already know they mean a lot to me. Allura on the other hand, all she's got is Coran. Maybe with time she'll consider us family, but from how our first introduction went, I'd say it's not likely. Suddenly, an alarm went off, breaking me from my thoughts.
"A galra battleship has set its tracker to us!" Yelled Coran.
"How did they find us?" Asked Allura.
"I don't know," Lance answered, "But I bet it's Keith's fault."
Keith rolled his eyes, "Say whatever you've got to say to make yourself feel better. After getting us stuck on the other side of a wormhole!"
"I'll stick you in a wormhole!"
Then Shiro got all big brother like and yelled at them, "Stow it, cadets! This is no time to place blame. It's time to work as a team. How long before they arrive?"
"At there speed?" Asked Coran, holding up his fingers, "Oh, well, carry the two... I'd say probably a couple of days."
"Good. Let them come." Said Allura, "By the time they get here you guys will have reformed Voltron, and together, we will destroy Zarkon's empire!"
"Princess, there are five of these lions." I said, "How are we gonna find the rest?"
