(Y/N POV)

~~Facing Zarkon

"You can strip me of everything I have, and everything I am, but I will never help the Galra Empire."
He laughed, "We'll see about that, white paladin. Your heart may be pure now, but by the time Haggar is done with you, you'll be nothing but another one of her experiments."
Zarkon turned to one of his sentries, "Take her to the witch."

~~ With Haggar

Her druids strapped me down to a table and moving was just about impossible.
"Let me go!" I yelled.
"Quiet!" She snapped, "Don't make me take more than just an arm."
"My...my arm?"
"I heard you were the Champion's sister. I loathed that boy. We did him a favor, and we got absolutely no respect in return."
"What favor are you talking about?"
"Shiro had a muscular disease that was affecting his arm. We completely removed the disease and replaced his old with Galra tech. He should have been grateful."
"So... why are you taking my arm? Nothing is wrong with it."
She smirked, "Yet. The druids found traces of that same disease in your genetics, mainly, affecting your right arm. You may have no symptoms at the moment, but by the time you become Shiro's age, you'll feel a shooting pain in your arm every half and hour or so. It's degrading. We're just helping you out, exactly like we did Shiro."
I stared at her, absolutely terrified. I missed Shiro. And I missed Keith.

Haggar turned to one of her druids, "Knock her out." She demanded.
And that's when I felt a surge of electricity flow through me. It felt like I was on fire, and there were a thousand needles piercing my body every second.
"Stop!" I pleaded, "P-Please."
The last thing I remember before passing out was Haggar's face looming over me, smiling, "Poor girl. Doesn't even know what she is."

I woke up in my cell with my right shoulder in excruciating pain. I didn't want to look at it, but I knew I would have to eventually. The arm looked almost identical to Shiro's, except mine was thinner and made for a girl. I stared at it, feeling the tears starting to form in my eyes. I truly was just another one of that witch's experiments. That's what she meant by 'what' I am, right? I looked around, desperately trying to find Larmina in the darkness, but she was gone. I was all alone. I let the tears roll, and put my knees to my chest. I wondered if this is how Shiro felt. Lonely, unworthy, and inhuman. How did he live like this? Did he lose hope? Did he completely give up? I knew I couldn't give up. I had to make Keith the reason I survived.

I must've sat in my cell crying for hours until finally a commanding officer walked in.
"Get up." He said grabbing my arm.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked, "Back to that witch?"
"No. I'm taking you to a gladiator game. Emperor Zarkon wants to see if you fight like your brother. If you fight better than your brother."
I didn't respond to him, I had no reason to. In fact I just smiled a bit. There's no way I fight better than Shiro. He taught me everything I knew, but he saved the advanced movements for when I got older. He never got the chance to show me.

The officer threw me into the arena, and there was a giant Galran waiting for me. I looked back before heading into battle, and the officer looked almost sorry for me.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Thace. I'm Commander Thace."
And with that he left, leaving me alone in the arena with nothing but my arm and a huge Galra.
There was so much cheering coming from the crowd, I could hardly think straight.
"Let the battle begin!" Yelled Zarkon. And before I could think of any sort of strategy, there was an alien charging straight for me, his axe aimed at my head. I dodged the attack and rolled to the left, watching as the Galran rammed into the wall. I felt a burning sensation in my right shoulder and noticed my new arm was activated. It turned into a blade, and I figured I could manage it from here. I ran towards my opponent, going for his leg, and opened the skin just below his knee. He bellowed in pain. He swung his axe, slicing my left arm and leaving a huge gash.
"Aghh!" I yelled, running towards the other side of the arena away from my opponent. I didn't want to do this anymore, I wanted to huddle in a corner and just lay there, but I had to see Keith again.
"Give up now earthling." Said my opponent, "I'll spare you the pain."
"I'm not one to give up." I responded, running towards him, blade at the ready. I grabbed his arm and swung myself up onto his neck, holding my weapon at his throat, putting more pressure on it as time passed.
"Drop the axe." I said softly.
He laughed.
"Don't make me ask again. Drop the axe." This time I cut through his throat a bit, feeling a rush of adrenaline surge through my veins. He obeyed. I dropped down and threw the axe to my right, far away from my opponent. I shoved him with every muscle in my body towards the wall, and watched as his head smacked the metal, collapsing to the floor. The crowd exploded. "Champion! Champion! Champion!" They yelled.
I wiped the sweat from my face and scanned the stands until I found Zarkon.

He was smiling. This is exactly what he wanted. A new weapon. Me. The worst part was, I enjoyed it. It was something new. Something... different.
