XII. Loki Part 20

Thor and I stood in front of the palace doors.

 "Are you ready to be welcomed back brother," Thor said proudly to me.

Thor and I entered the palace, heads held high, and key in hand.

Thor knows how important this mission was to me, so he let me hold the box and wanted me to be the one to hand it to Odin.

We entered the throne room where Odin sat in his throne and almost looked pleased to see us.

"well, judging that you have come back, I assume you have found the key and are here to return it."

I took a step forward and presented the box to him. He took it out of my hands, and I went and stood in line with Thor.

"very good Thor and Loki." "Asgard will be pleased with your success." "Thor you will make a fine King when I pass."

It got quiet.

"Father... what about Loki" Thor beamed at Odin and looked pleading towards me.

"Ah, yes Loki I have a special request for you before I accept you back... however, now is not the time to discuss this topic. I will send for you when I am ready."

"may I visit earth in the meantime while I await your calling." I asked almost pleadingly.

"No. You are not to set foot on earth, you have no business there, until I deem otherwise, understood."

I went to open my mouth to protest but Thor gave me the look of remember why you're doing this.

We turned and left the room.

Thor and I walked through the garden. I was furious. I was fuming mad!  How was I supposed to get back to Luna? I wanted to protest but now is not the time to get in deeper with Odin I already am... Thor was so sure me coming and helping him would allow me to be welcomed back and I could do as I please as I once done.

"Brother do not let the anger consume you, Odin is set in his ways and I am sure once you are reinstated, he will allow you back on earth. He said until he deemed otherwise. My guess is, he is testing you one last time to see if you can follow orders and after you're reinstated, he will lift the restrictions on you, and say you are able to do as you please."

"Do you honestly think that's it" I questioned angrily.

"Odin needs to know you can follow orders; I assure you this is your last test."

I huffed and we kept quiet for a few moments.

"what do you think is in the box" I asked.

"I'm not sure but whatever it is, it is very important. I just hope it is exactly what Odin needs to help Asgard."

I wonder what Luna was doing. I missed her. I hope she knows I'm doing what I can to get back...
