Ace D. Portgas x Reader

Title: What A Somber Day.
Setting:Alabasta
Time: Mid-Day

You and Luffy were laughing as he pulled you into the restaurant.

You crashed into Smoker, and landed nicely on the floor, staring at Luffy.

He just laughed and asked for food, quite rudely, but he asked nonetheless.

You ate, nomming on your beef as Luffy gobbled up everything else, much to your annoyance.

Ace walked in, annoyed.

"Eh-" he looked at the two of you, breaking out into a happy smile, "Luffy! Y/N!" He laughed, and immeadietly got his face slammed into the ground. Smoker stood, and glared at the two of you.

"Smokey." You grinned, watching his smoke start to form.

"OoooOoo, he's angry." You whispered to luffy, who realized he was smoker at this point.

"WAIT, YOU'RE THAT SMOKEY GUY?!" He ran, leaving you behind.

Smoker thought you were deemed non-essential, and ran, you weren't apart of the crew.

You were apart of whitebeard's crew.

Though you were lost at sea when blackbeard killed that crewmate...

Slowly standing up, you went over to ace, and pulled him up by his nose, aggresively shaking him.

He woke up soon after, just staring at you.

"..Y/N!" He realized how much he missed you, and almost choked you to death with a hug.

"Hhshsiwhsuwbs." Your face was red as you hugged him back, your face nuzzling into the crook of his neck.

He enjoyed the moment, gently rubbing your back as you yawned softly, comfortable in his warm arms.

"You missed me." You murmured, making ace flush.

"Yeah, I did. Everyone did. But i missed you more." He admitted, "i thought you were dead..."

You suddenly remembered luffy, and shoved him away, "IM COMING LUFFY!" You screamed, ace was following behind you, laughing, reunions could continue later, he guessed.

Once everyone was on the ship, you smiled, Luffy yelling at you to join his crew once again, and just how Ace knew you.

Zoro paused, "Wait, your name is Y/n?" He asked, like the idiot he was, the asshole didn't pay attention to a fucking iron bar if you threw it at him.

"Yes, and sorry to say luff, I'm apart of the Whitebeard Pirates." You laughed, and gently took off your shirt.

You had a cropped tank top on underneath, showing a Whitebeard tattoo on your stomach.

Zoro just stared.

"You're Y/n L/n, the cursed musician."

"Cursed? More like blessed with the Music-Music fruit. Makes anything i play deadly- if i so choose." You smiled, and got hugged by ace again.

You wrapped your arms around him, and placed your head on his shoulder, pressing a kiss to his jawline.

Ace suddenly fell asleep, you carrying him like he was a baby.

Luffy sighed, "Awe..i really want you to join my crew now."

"Well, maybe in the future, but i plan on staying with Ace until one of us dies." You smiled, and patted luffy on the head, letting giggles escape your lips.

Ace snuggled into your chest.

You hiccuped, and hugged the dying body close. "Ace! You can't do this to me! Ace!" You sobbed as he held onto you, a soft smile on his face. He had saved luffy, and he was fighting...fighting hard, so here you sit, this man in your arms.

"Ace, please.." you sobbed, dragging him out of the battle scene.

But he wouldn't respond.

It was no use, he was gone..

You had joined Luffy and his crew. Whitebeard understood your promise.

You sat in your room, pulling his hat down over your eyes, letting the somber tears of death flow.

A melody, one to match, was playing through the ship, and soft words, one of a poem were choked out, almost like someone who was crying for help.

And here i sit, on this desolate earth.
With no one to love, and no child of his to birth.
Nothing to remember him, besides his hat.
I shall cherish it, like luffy his straw hat.
