The soft patter of bare feet along the concrete as they rummaged through the shed filled to the brim with tools and trinkets.

The laughter and joy as they messed with the snails during gardening hours.

Their hair, eventually filled with flowers, to the point where their natural head of hair couldn't be seen.

Their voice, soothing, yet haunting as they told a story of truths.

"Let's go in the garden
You'll find something waiting...
Right there where you left it.. lying upside down.."

Their arms would trace along his shoulders, lips pressing against his cheek.

"When you finally find it, you'll see how it's faded..
The underside is lighter- when you turn it around.."

They would move infront of him, grabbing his cheeks as they moved into his lap, their lips moving against his in a calming manner.

"Everything stays right where you left it...
Everything stays..
But it still changes..
Ever so slightly, daily and nightly,
In little ways, when everything stays."

Their forehead would lightly bonk against his, sending a shiver through both of them. They would lightly chuckle together, and share another passionate kiss.

"Go down to the ocean..
The crystal tide is raising..!
waters' gotten higher- as the shore washes out.
Keep your eyes wide open, even when the sun is blazin'.
The moon controls the tide, it can cause you to drown.."

Their expression of fear, when they feared they had done something to upset their lover.

"Everything stays, right where you've left it..
Everything stays, but it still changes..
Ever so slightly, daily and nightly,
In little ways,
When everything stays.."

The marks on their arms, their legs, and neck.

Their pain.

....

Sakazuki stood in his garden, hat against his chest as he looked down at the person he loved so dearly.

He held back tears as he reached out with shaky hands, to tuck the hair behind their cold ear.

Borsalino placed a hand on your shoulder, "It was your fault." The unusually upset man spoke, shoving Sakazuki ever so slightly as he left, unable to take the sight before him.

There you lay, on the ground surrounded by flowers, cold and lifeless.

Sakazuki placed a hand over his eyes, his teeth grinding together as he gripped himself tightly. How could he have let this happen?

He picked up the shovel sitting next to him, and began to dig next to the lavender and carnations. They were your favorite after all.

You had always said that you'd wanted to be burried with the flowers, and help them flourish.

He was going to let at least one wish of yours come true.

After he finished digging the hole, he tossed the flowers that had been around you into the hole, laying you in your own bed of flowers.

He breathed in sharply, and exhaled. Before setting your lifeless corpse in the flowers, he gave you a kiss on the cheek, letting your body gently drop into the flowers.

Tears began to drip down his face, looking at the product of his anger. His hands rested over your eyes, and slowly trailed to your cheek.

"Im sorry.." he whispered, and let a few more tears drip from his face before he stood up, grabbing his shovel.

And he began to fill the hole.

.....

Flash forward a few years, where Akainu was digging in his garden, having forgotten about the whole ordeal.

Way to prove yourself, am i right?

He was shoveling in between the carnations and lavender. As it was the perfect spot for more carnations. The pink kind.

His shovel hit something hard, too hard.

He shoveled at it, until he was met with something that rushed memories into his head.

Everything really does stay. Doesn't it?
