For weeks now I've been getting Grams to help me to set up an amazing surprise for Zoey. We've been meeting in secret every Thursday for the past three weeks at Rose Café during my lunch break. All the invitations have been sent out to all of hers and mine, close family, and friends.

The only other person besides Grams and Mrs. Peterson that had an inkling of what today was about was Zander. He and his friends are flying into town today to singing Zoey's favorite song. Zander was also bringing along his new girlfriend to introduce her to our family. He must have some very strong feelings towards her to bring home to meet our crazy and overbearing family. This is the first time he's ever felt the need to allow us to meet any woman that he had an interest in besides Mei.

I, for one, am glad that he finally opened his eyes to see that Mei just wasn't the woman for him. To me, she was always too jealous when it came to my little brother hanging around any other female besides her that even included our sister, Yuna.

"Junebug everything is all set for tonight," Grams says as soon as entered my parent's house. Today I took a day off from work for the first time since I've started working at my parents' company. That's just how important today was for me.

"Thanks, Grams for helping me to pull everything together in such a short time."

Oh, baby, I've enjoyed every bit of decorating and ordering people around."

"Yeah, you're great at telling people what to do.'' I playfully remarked and ended up being rewarded with a soft punch to my left arm from Grams.

"Junebug I'm so proud of all the hard work you've done to make your parent's business a success even after having to give up on your dream of becoming a well-known photographer. What I'm most proud of is how you stepped in to help Zoey take care of someone else's child." Gram states with a huge smile on her face.

"Grams that's easy to do when you love the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with," I respond.

"That's true son but if I remember correctly you and Zoey couldn't stand being in the same room together at first let alone raised a child that isn't even yours together." She says.

"Who would have thought that I would fall in love with a somewhat disorganized woman? Grams if someone would've told me nine months ago that I would be head over heels for a woman who is the total opposite of me, I would have laughed in their face and called them a liar. Grams, I need Zoey in my life as much as I need air to breathe. I need her just as much as I need the heart beating inside my chest. I can't picture my life without her and Kaede in it. They are my everything, and I'm not going to let nothing or no one take them away from me."

"Junebug, I already knew all of this when you stood up to your dad during his so-called important business dinner. I knew right then and there that I didn't have to worry about you falling into your parent's trap of marrying one of these high maintenances, rude and heartless women that they had lined up for you to meet by the dozens." Grams tell me.

"I know tonight isn't about what I think that it is about!" My dad shouted as he walked into the living room behind Grams and me.

"And what if it is?" I asked.

"If it is then I won't be there to watch you ruin your life to a woman who isn't up to our standards."

"She doesn't have to meet your standard, dad. All that matters is how I feel about Zoey and if she wants to be with me. Nothing else you say matters." I angrily blurt out.

"So It doesn't matter if don't come and watch you make a fool of yourself and destroy our family reputation in the process, huh?"

"You know what dad, I think that you shouldn't come. I don't need you there to upset Zoey or to cause any problem between her and me," I shouted then stood to my feet. "Grams I'll see you tonight." I calmly said to her after kissing her on the right cheek and walked out of the house fuming.
