Alesana POV…

Every now and then my eyes would stray over to gaze upon Zoey's stunning face as I drove to my secret hideaway place. Her eyes were closed with her head leaning back up against the headrest while humming to my favorite song "Love Talk" by my younger brother Zander and his friends. I must admit that I am surprised that she knows this song or should I say any music from my culture.

"Turn the music up a little louder." She says peering over at me with a big smile on her face. Doing as she requested I turned it up several decibels and watched her smile grow even larger. Suddenly her facial expressions split into a serious one causing me to become concerned about what she was thinking.

"What's wrong Zoey? I immediately asked. For some reason, I was very worried about what her answer would be.

"I'm so sorry for causing you so much drama." She replies with tears starting to stream down her face.

I've witnessed many incredible moments coming from this woman such as seeing her mad as hell, and her laughing hysterically at my many jokes. I've even seen her explode with extreme sexual pleasure but not once have I seen her crying. This was something that I didn't like seeing. Especially not for something that wasn't even her fault. I pulled the car off to the side of the road and unbuckled my seat belt then turned to face her. I hated seeing tears falling from those beautiful eyes of hers. What I hated seeing the most was how sadness had now replaced the sparkling happiness that was in those blue orbs of her just a few seconds ago.

Getting out of the car I walked around to the passenger side and opened the car door then squatted in front of her. Taking her face into the palm of my hand I stared her directly in the eyes and said "what has happened today or any other time is not your fault Zoey! It's my job and duty to protect my woman from anyone that has made it their life mission to hurt or disrespect you in any way."

"But you may be in deep trouble all because of me." She says trying to turn her face away from me.

"Whatever trouble I get into will be all my doing and I would willingly do what it takes to protect you and our son! Please don't make me feel guilty for doing what I should have done." I pleaded then kissed her softly on her very tempting, kissable lips before getting back into the car. We rode the rest of the way listening to music and making small talk about nothing in particular.

Zoey's POV...

Pure amazement spread across my face when he pulled up to a large steel gate and punched in a code. The steel doors swing open revealing a large two-story red and white brick house that had a long white stone driveway that led up to a two-car garage. Tall palm trees lined each side of the driveway alternated by a white lamp post.

A gigantic fish pond set off to the right side of the house with a horse stable right beside it. The steel fence went as far as the eyes could see on each side. As soon as he came to a complete stop I hopped out of the car and strolled over to the magnificent, multicolored flower garden that was inside a stunning pink see-through greenhouse. Stooping in the middle of the flowers I sniffed a bright yellow honeysuckle flower that filled my senses with delight from its sweet aroma fragrance.
