Alesana POV…“Daddy… Daddy…” I hear Kaede call me out while I lay in bed looking at Zoey's sleeping. I still can't believe that this beautiful woman is about to be my wife and the mother of my child. Who would have thought that the two of us would get along enough for us to have a civil conversation, let alone find out that we needed each other? I love this woman more than my own life. Heck, she and Kaede are my life. I'd never wish her any unhappiness, but I thank Zack for not realizing what a special woman he had in Zoey.
“Zoey, I love you. For the rest of my life, I'm going to make sure that you know that you're my soulmate, the woman that I would lay my life on the line for.” I whispered in her ear while rubbing my hand on her flat stomach. Little one, I thank you for coming into my life.” I said to her belly then kissed it.
“I love you too, Alesana,” Zoey says in a sleepy voice while lightly running her fingers through my hair.
“You heard all of that?”
“I heard the part that matters, baby,” she replied, then turned on her side facing me. She pulled my face down to hers and kissed me passionately. “I think that someone is waiting for his dad to come and get him.” She says after kissing me senselessly and hearing Kaede calling out my name again.
“I think so too,” I replied, then kissed her on the forehead and hopped out of bed. “Daddy is on his way buddy,” I called out from the bedroom door, then walked into the bathroom to take a quick shower and to brush my teeth. Kaede started jumping up and down in his baby bed when he saw me walk into his room. “You're ready to go see mommy too?” I asked him while picking him up out of his crib.
“Mommy… mommy…” He kept repeating while I rummage through his drawer looking for a t-shirt and sock to put on after bathing him. “I know exactly how you feel buddy. I want to see her beautiful face too, but right now, we have to get you all cleaned up first.” The whole time I was giving him a bath, Kaede was calling out for Zoey and splashing water all over the place. By the time I had finished, I looked as if I had taken a bath with him with my clothes on.
“Your little monster here has given me another bath…” I was saying when I walked into the bedroom and saw the bed was empty. “I guess mommy is taking a shower,” I told Kaede then sat him in the Center of the bed then went to the clothes to change my clothes.
“Zoey, are you alright in there?'' I asked after not hearing her move around in the bathroom. I waited outside the door, listening for her response.
“I'm okay, Alesana,” she says in a weak voice.
“No, you're not! I'm coming into the bathroom.” She was sitting on the floor hovered over the toilet wrapped in her bathrobe when I walked into the bathroom. I strolled over to the sink and grabbed one of the many scrunchies that she likes to keep in the large hair accessories basket, then walked back over to Zoey and put her hair into a ponytail.
“Mommy,” Kaede called out as he walked into the bathroom.
“Mommy Is fine buddy,” I told him after scooping him up into my arms, then kneeled beside Zoey and rubbed her back in a comforting gesture.
“Do you need to go to the doctor, baby?”
'It's just morning sickness, Alesana. It'll soon subside once I get some saltine crackers and a sprite into my system.”
