~Alesana… At Shay's Sweet Tooth Café~

Who would have thought I Alesana Wong would be willing to settle down with the very woman whom I despised at first. The same woman who was the total opposite of me. Where I am a neat freak, she loves to lay her things down where she can.

I'm an organized planner, and she's a spontaneous, free-spirited woman that likes to do things on a whim. She loves being in the company of others, and I like being at home with just her and Kaede. She's a loving and happy woman majority of the time, but me not so much. Not only that, but she and everyone who knows me always tell me that I'm a mean-ass control freak. She has given me the nickname Mr. Jackass because she says that I love to piss her off on purpose.

Even with all of our differences, there isn't a single thing I would change about her. I love her perfection and flaws all the same. "Junebug, if you never accomplish anything else in my lifetime, I want you to know that you've made this old lady proud to be your Grammy. I admire the strong, caring, and independent man that you've become." Grams tell me while wiping a few stray tears from her eyes.

"Grams, I've grown into the man that I am, all because of your love and strict upbringing."

"There goes my future grandson-in-law." Mrs. Lacey Peterson says while showering the left side of my face with kisses.

"Lacey, I told you that our grandkids would make a beautiful couple and that they would get along just fine once they got to know each other." Grams boasted to her best friend.

"You sure did, Grace. You'd make an excellent matchmaking consultant if you ever decided to open up a practice." Mrs. Peterson tells Grams, then winks her left eye at her.

"What are you two ladies talking about?" I asked

"Umm, nothing. We're just two old babbling fools that are ecstatic at the fact that our grandkids are happy, Junebug." Grams sheepishly replied.

"Nah, I'm not buying that lame excuse you're giving me, Grams. What have you two ladies done?"

"Nothing much, we just planned for you and Zoey to meet each other on a blind date at this very café but unbeknownst to us, you two had already met," Grams answered.

"It seemed like fate had already destined for you two to meet and be together." Mrs. Peterson added.

Grams hooked her arms with Mr. Peterson and then began to walk away from me. "Oh, by the way, Junebug it's almost time for you to head to the airport to pick up Zander and his friends." She called out before exiting the café.

~Time Skip~

"Hey, there, big brother." Zander greets me as he approaches me with his luggage in his hands and his friends following close behind him.

"Hello, loudmouth." I greeted him back.

"Hi, Mr. Wong." All his friends say in unison.

"Why are you guys addressing him as Mr. Wong? He's not anyone important. Besides, you've known him about as long as you've known me." Zander scolds his friends.

"Please don't pay this ill-mannered knucklehead no mind." I told the group, then turned to Zander and asked, "where's the beautiful woman that you've been wearing my ears out about for the last few days?"

"Damn bro, you didn't have to announce my business to the whole world," Zander uttered.

"Stupid, we already know that you're whipped for Ms. Brianna Taylor." Kun blurts out.

"Heck, we are too," Lucas interjected playfully.

"Lucas, go get your own woman because mine is off-limits." Zander slings at one of his best friends, then turns to me and says, "She has a family gathering to attend to."
