Zoeys POV…

Alesana finally coerced me into going to the police station to file a restraining order against my ex-husband after bickering back and forth with him for nearly an hour. "I will be going there with you! He says as I walk upstairs.

I stood at the entrance of the huge walk-in closet deep in thought. "How am I supposed to work comfortably with a restraining order between my ex-husband and myself? I plucked a purple silk button-down blouse off of a hangar while I ponder over that very same question. Next, I picked up a pair of black slacks that were folded neatly on the square stand in the center of the closet and a pair of black open-toe heels with purple bottoms.

Laying my items across the foot of the bed I walked over to the adjoining bathroom and stopped abruptly when I caught a glimpse of my ghastly appearance in the hanging wall mirror by the door. I could see the signs of dark circles appearing around my eyes even with my dark skin complexion. My hair was tossed all over my head and my sleeping clothes were all wrinkly. I was appalled at myself for having the audacity to stand in Alesana's presence looking the way I was looking.

I immediately jumped into the shower after looking at myself in the mirror. I pulled my wet, curly hair into a sleek ponytail and laid down my baby hairs with edge control as soon as I hopped out of the shower. I then applied a light coat of cherry-flavored lip gloss on my lips and looked at my reflection again after I finished getting dressed. I was amazed at what a fresh bath, neat and tidy hair could do for my appearance in such a short span of time.

Grabbing a few pampers off of the nightstand I walk down the stairs feeling like a million bucks. The living room was extremely quiet so I walked over to the room that Alesana was sleeping in. I knocked a bit harder on the door then I did the last time because I don't think that my heart can survive the amazing surprise that it received the last time when Alesana walked out of the bathroom in his birthday suit.

The bed was made neater than I've ever been able to make it. I walked slowly over to the bathroom listening intently for any movement. "Alesana are you in here? I asked standing a few inches away from the threshold of the bathroom. I crept into the room cautiously when I got no response from him. It was also nice and tidy I noticed once I had fully entered into the semi-large space.

I then noticed that Kaede's car seat was missing off the floor from the side of the bed that it once was earlier this morning. "Did something happen to Kaede while I was taking a leisure shower this morning? I wonder while my overactive nerves began to get the best of me. The doorbell rang just as I was heading back out of the room. Grabbing the bat out of the closet I peered through the peephole of the front door. Relief washed over me when I saw that it was Alesana standing on the other side of the door instead of Zack.

"I'm glad you're dressed and ready to go. I thought that I was going to have to hogtie you and carry you to the police station myself! Alesana says not even noticing me placing the bat by the door as he enters carrying Kaede in his arms.

"I said that I was going, didn't I! A state with a roll of my eyes.

"Yeah you did but Ms. Zoey Larson you are one hard head and stubborn woman. If you had let me take care of this my way the other day then you wouldn't be having this problem right now! Alesana retorted back to me flippantly.
