Special Chapter 1
Apollo x BlaiseFor most of the years' Apollo had known Blaise, he always had known there was something about him. There was always the thought in the back of his head that there were feelings involved between them, but the Ravenclaw never thought twice about it since he always heard about the next girl Blaise had been with. He always assumed he was never the one that Blaise went to sleep thinking about or the one that kept the Slytherin up at night. Sometimes he would catch himself thinking about the Slytherin, it was often to the point where he knew he would have to move on quickly.
It was around their second year that Apollo and Blaise were so close that some of the Ravenclaws questioned their fellow housemate. Of course, the hazel-eyed Ravenclaw shrugged them off and told them that they all knew Blaise was chasing after the next girl at the moment. It was like that for years.
Apollo was often questioned about Blaise, and not just if they were a thing. He was questioned where he was, who he was with, how he was. They were all questions Apollo usually knew, but still, he wondered why he was the one that had to tell them. He couldn't find it in his heart to ever let go of the Slytherin that he found an unlikely friend in. And an unlikely crush in as well.
When he met Hope Mikaelson, he focused his energy on being her friend, getting to know her, trying to make his crush move on to her. It did, at some point. And both he and Blaise knew it. The times when the two would usually be hanging out were instead spent with Hope. It seemed the only time they did actually see each other was when Hope was around at some point. Blaise saw this and tried to make it better.
He stopped seeing different girls, he stopped chasing after girls and stopped letting them chase after him. He did his best to make it seem like he was single like he had no one else and only the person he set his eyes on. He hated the feeling it gave him when Apollo had first set eyes on Hope. He hated when the Ravenclaw would bail on him to go see Hope. But he couldn't bring himself to hate him. To hate Apollo. He loved him more than anything else in the world and he wanted the boy to know it. But after Draco told him about when Apollo approached him and threatened him if he ever hurt Hope, the Slytherin knew his chance was gone. The Ravenclaw had his eyes set on someone else that wasn't him, again.
Not that he ever thought it was him that Apollo had his eyes set on. But it still made him happy to dream about it and think that maybe one day it would happen. He just watched from the shadows until he saw a moment to move in himself, and last night was just that. Both boys were warm in the comfort of the other's arms. Apollo had his head on the Slytherin's chest and his arms wrapped around the slightly taller one's waist. Blaise had his arms wrapped around whatever part of Apollo's body he could reach with the Ravenclaw further down his body then he would've wanted. Through the night the boys had moved toward each other, going as far as to face each other in their sleep. Arms wrapping around the other body beside them, legs intertwined, breaths matching rhythm.
Blaise was the first one to wake up. He was surprised as ever to see that the moment he had longed for was currently happening. He was waking up beside him, Apollo, the best friend that he had grown feelings for far too long ago. He could see the darkened curtains of his room outlined by the sun, the small part in the middle of both curtains shining a strand of light across their bodies. Blaise only let his face light up and look at the sleeping Ravenclaw stuck to his side as if he would never let go.
