05. Sorting HatAfter Blaise and his friends dropped their belongings off at their new fifth year dorms, they walked alongside Hope, who left her locked trunk in Balise and Draco's shared room.
Hope learned that after fourth year your room was only shared with one other person. Blaise and Draco were like brothers from what she could see, so they shared a room while Crabb and Goyle shared another.
The tribrid walked under the arm of Blaise and next to Draco.
Draco tried to act as nonchalant as he could, but anyone with eyes could see his gaining interest for the new student.
As soon as they entered the great hall they were met with a man with a black and grey cat on his shoulder.
"You should be on stage Miss. They've been looking for you for quite some time now."
Hope was pulled away from the grasp of Blaise and the intense stare of Draco and toward the front of the giant room where many students dressed in robes stood.
"Good luck Blue!"
The same girl from before saw Hope and smiled. They waved at each other shyly before a woman by the name of Professor McGonagall began to call out names.
It seemed to go on forever in Hope's mind. There were a lot of names called and every time Hope thought it would be the last, it never was.
"We have completed the sorting of our first years."
Just as the professor walked off Hope was about to say something, but stopped when a man with a king white beard stood up.
"Before we get into our regular speeches and announcements, I would like to have Miss Hope Mikaelson step forward."
Hope nervously stepped forward into the main light in front of the entire school. She had never felt more nervous than she did in that moment.
"This is our new student, who will be attending our school up until her last year, hopefully. Miss Mikaelson, please let the sorting hat be placed on your head."
The tribrid nodded and sat down in a chair that magically conjured behind her. A brown hat was placed on her head, and she nearly shrieked as she heard it begin to talk in her head.
"Well hello there Miss Mikaelson. I've been awaiting your arrival for quite some time now. You've been through a lot in your upbringing, and I am truly sorry for you parents. You are like your father in many ways, ambitious, cunning, ruthless. But you also hold your mother's light. Her loving and caring nature, as well as her less hot-tempered nature compared to your father.
